#9 - Post PractiSe Interviews

Butch Barry carries himself like he gets into bar fights for fun. Stubblefield and Stroud give great interviews

NC State together and coached Mario Williams and at least one other top draft pick, I think. I don't know all the details though.

I was worried when I heard him saying "golly and gee whiz" in one of his Spring post practice pressers but I think he has gotten these boys better.
Coached 3 first rounders in same draft (2006).

Williams, Lawson, and McCargo

Manny: "there's completions in this offense". Ah, so the complete opposite of a Richt offense.

Remember how Richt would run into a brick wall on first and second down, set himself up with a 3rd and 5, and proceed to call 4 verts on third down? Glad we've decided to move away from that system.

******* infuriated me with those verts on 3rd and short. Stupid.

Absolutely, but how do you combat that? Quick game, screens, moving pockets, running game, etc. The stuff that seems to be what Enos wants to do. Quick game and being multiple in everything you do.
I do not mind beating teams with death by a 1000 cuts per se. Take what the defense gives you and the splash plays will come. I mean, **** I hate Tom Brady but most of his TD drives are 10+ plays that just slowly kill you in side

Go back and watch that CMU overtime comeback game posted here a while ago. You can see exactly how Enos works a porous OL because that line was getting his QB murdered. Moving pocket, chipping with TEs, some max protect, and LOTS of misdirection.

All great interviews and all sound in lock step with Manny on what the expectations are for the team, regardless of position. Most encouraged by Stroud’s interview, the guy has to be salivating like it’s his old NC State days except he’s got 6-7 top players instead of a few this go around. 10 guys he said? We do that, and keep the pressure going through said rotations and there isn’t a QB alive that could withstand that kind of barrage. Also good to hear that Barry is not going to just settle on seniority, if that player isn’t playing up to TNM standard. Am I happy about Zion potentially starting as a TF? Yes and no. I think this kid is going to put up a TF AA type season if he solidifies the LT spot. I’d love to keep Scaife, Gaynor, and Donaldson inside to create mismatches we can exploit in the rushing and passing games. Boy wouldn’t that be something we haven’t seen around these parts in what seems like a century.

Lol, probably the same idiot(s) that are always mowing, leaf blowing, etc.
That’s what the garage door openers are for, they signal weapons of mass distraction.
The landscaping engineer does everything he can to distract reporters
and people that are listening a little too closely.

Stroud sounds and looks like a Miami DL coach. And we have some serious talent. Sounds like the top 8-10 guys with Nesta injured are -

DE:
1. Garvin
2. Patchan
3. Hill
4. Rousseau
5. Harvey

DT:
1. Ford
2. Bethel
3. Chigoze
4. Miller
5. 1 of the Freshman (Blissett, Harrison-Hunt, Holley)

Injury to Nesta really hurts the depth as Miller might not be totally ready and Chigoze still needs some time to get the system and in shape, but overall, we have a Grade A looking DL

Really looking forward to more havoc this year
