I thought Callaway always wanted to go to uf.

He fell in love with that school when he visited last year.

Thing is, McElwain was ignoring this kid up until the final weekend and UF doesn't have a WR coach yet.

IF Callaway chooses UF. After we were in the drivers seat for a good amount of time. That's all that really needs to be said about what's going on with Miami. Lol

I would have to question the kids choice though, as you have Kaaya here and nothing proven at QB at UF yet.

Nothing would surprise me at this point.

For Brock on the WR comment, while I do agree. Miami needs to take a major focus on the more explosive/shifty/versatile/speedy receivers in 2016, plenty of big receivers on the roster going into 2015 now.

Golden's a total bum. That's known. Let's call that a constant and push it aside. But holy chit @ Ice going 1-2 with 3 BTW kids we desperately wanted. Hard to see what value we're getting there if that's the outcome in a year we really need to land BTW kids. D'onofrio could've gone 1-2 as the lead recruiter with those 3.

He's a grown man named Ice for starters.

Kevin scott deciding on nsd at 1:00 on fox sports west. Picking between usc, miami, ole miss.

Apparently they went and visited austrian robinson and now have pulled even with maryland and ole miss.
Scott is going to USC. We won't even finish in his top 3. El Foldo killed it in California again!

I don't know man he might but they only gave him a grey shirt offer because they ain't got many spots left.

LULZ at starving UM fans getting jazzed up over the OP throwing us some stale Saltine crumbs.

To summarize, this is what you're getting excited over: possibly holding onto an OL commit; looking decent for a Plan W CB; losing the most polished WR in South Florida; and having a chance with a RB who was already committed earlier.

Yikes.

In their defense, ain't much else to get excited about. But, you're right!

Who says you have to be excited? Only babies need to be chuckling all the time.

Guys need to quit searching for fake reasons to be excited and learn to face the cold gut punch of reality.

I'm not arguing with you on that. I have been telling that to people on campus. Nothing to be excited about. If you're excited, its a part of that participation trophy mindset because you are simply happy to get a few guys even though a lot of them should not be coming here, and also, you're okay, or ignoring the fact that we missed out on so many local studs. Regardless of who we get tomorrow, this class should not be seen as who we got, but as who we missed on. Way too much talent down here to miss on that many guys.

Wow! Look at you go. Telling people what they should and should not get excited for.

Let us know when we can smile again.

So Pete thinks we will get Redwine, Norton, Dexter but will lose Chatman to TCU and AC will go to UF

Yup. And that's an utterly dreadful finish.

They'd be fortunate to get Williams back after how horrendously they dropped the ball on our RB situation. Norton looks like a better OG than DT, but he's dead set on playing DT. Redwine's decent, but a CB haul of Jackson & Redwine doesn't get anyone even remotely excited.

Meanwhile, we'll lose the most underrated player in the class (Chatman), fail to close on arguably the second best WR in South Florida (Callaway), fail to land any premier CB targets (Lewis or either Davis), fail to land Scott, neglect to pursue much-needed LB depth, and fail to land any decent QB to fill Lawson's spot. Just 1 WR and 2 Plan C or D corners in this class.

Absolute disaster that creates one **** of a rebuilding job for the next coach. Sets us back multiple years.

Yup pretty much the recap...:bricks:

I think if we don't get Norton he needs to let go of the DL Coach, i think he is keeping him for the recruits, but if he doesn't bring any in then why keep him?

Don't sleep on kevin scott coming here usc offered Caleb wilson a kid who's only other offer was old dominion (wilsons dad is the DL Coach at usc) so that might of been Scott's scholarship

This recruiting class pretty much confirms Coley is absolutely worthless.

He was already one of the worst playcallers we've had here in quite some time...but we gave him a pass cause he was a cool guy that could recruit.

Yeah....time to put the latter statement to rest. He's just as bad at what he does as Golden or Onfrio

It's about the players we DO get, man.

be careful what you say bc the new found gators that post on this site will rip into you if u say their team sucks on Gatorsinsight.com

at this point, it doesn't matter who get as long as Golden is still coaching. if they aren't put into positions to succeed, it doesn't matter how many 5 stars there are.
