I'll tell you who the winner is with 1 variable that makes the difference. If our DL plays lights out throughout the season I can tell you we can beat Clemson, if not, it would be a long day for us.

If we beat FSU at home and go into South Bend and upset ND, sky's the limit.

I doubt we can do this one year after Golden. But you never know.

ND is a game CMR always loses. Ask Muschump or Treon Harris, or Butch Jones. We arent going to win big games like that. People are crazy,going up there for the game. They will be taunted out of the stadium by halftime.

VT will be a LOT better under Fuentes. Has to be. Beamer's only claim to fame was beating Shalalas mental midgets.

Default dullard, Corch Fedora has a huge advantage, he's in the awful Coastal, and we have yet to see if CMR can best him.

I think GT will be the key to the season. If CMR goes up there and pounds that bad high school program, we may be on to something. If we cant beat GT, we aint beating nobody.

So, we actually could throw the ND and FSU games, and win out for 10-2. We should. If CMR is any kind of coach, 10-2 and a ACC CG we can win should be the litmus test.

What, you don't go to a game because you think we are going to lose???
More of a reason for us to show up and cheer like crazy for our guys.
Oh, and one other thing....You can't take a little heat?
Let the Notre Dame fans bring it...NO ONE IS GETTING ME OUT OF THAT STADIUM BEFORE THE GAME IS OVER.

WE WOULD HAVE BEEN 11-3 LAST YEAR WITH RICHT!!!!!!! Unc & Clemson twice would have been our only losses. AN 11 WIN TEAM WHO LOST NOBODY!!!! Wake up boys, this is the year. It's very simple.

If we beat UNC and VT, we win the Coastal.
UNC will lose to FSU in Tallahassee.
VT will lose @ UNC.
We'll essentially be 2 games ahead of them.
Assuming we take care of biz at home vs Pitt and Duke and with GT playing @VT, @UNC and vs Clemson, we should be in good shape.
The schedule is more balanced this year with our better division opponents playing the better Atlantic teams.

The ppl who are saying ND will beat us, have any of you looked at there team ? They lost there best lineman, all there wr are gone, number one tight end is out for the year because of academics. On defense they lost there best lineman and almost all there linebackers. Ask ND how they will stop our Tight Ends. Do they have a corner who can stop coley ? Nope. If we can stop the run and not turn over the ball we should win.

And who would have thought.... But Dexter Williams has apparently been absolutely ridiculous at practice. Wish we held on to him
 
12-2, ACC Coastal champion

Miami beats FSU and UNC at home, and wins at VaTech. Lose close game at ND. Sweep the rest of the ACC. Lose ACCCG to Clemson, in another close game. Win bowl game.

Finish in Top 10.

The game is in South Bend, and that's a tough place to play.

Also, by Oct 29 many of their players will be seasoned

Miami will not go undefeated.

Plus, the ND game is the fourth of four consecutive tough games, and at South Bend.

New coaches, concepts, schemes and system... takes more then a few summer practices to nail it down.

Really hard to make predictions without seeing how these kids look early on, who's suspended or not suspended, etc.

I hope that some of you are right. Certainly we are all jacked up for the season. A team's foundation and rock is the offensive line. We can have all the speedsters, running backs, playmakers, and QB's but without a very good OL we are simply mediocre at best. Not saying anything else but if some of our starting offensive lineman get hurt or go down we have problems. I for one have tremendous excitement for the defense this year which should keep us in many games. LETS GO CANES!
