#82 -- Who?

No. There are are a range of numbers you can wear for different positions. Arcane rule but it's still in place.
Wait, there are rules about what number you can wear?

I thought they just let anyone wear whatever number they wanted these days.

If it was Justice, maybe his dog ate his original jersey, hence the no name alternative.

With the rain and mud is it possible he just needed a dryer jersey? There is no number 82 listed on our roster.

No the reason is because it makes him an eligible receiver if he’s in at te. He’s likely wearing a tear away jersey overtop of his regular jersey. There were times last year where Harley (I believe) was returning kicks with a Velcro jersey over top of his so that he and frierson could be on the field together.

Waaaayyy outdated in college AND to a lesser degree in the pros.
Sure but the point is there are still number rules and that's why Justice was wearing an unnamed #82 jersey to get some snaps at TE. Do we still really need to keep debating this?

Reviewed the game and paid attention to number 82, he played most of the game and was blocking like crazy. Wish we knew for sure who he is and based on what I saw he should've been graded by PFF as one of our best performers.

Nope, but he still did a **** of job in there.
