I don't think the rain hurts us. Not sure it helps us either though. People assume rain means a slower-paced, run-based game. The advanced analytics say otherwise.
Wind is what leads to unders. Rain actually tends to lead to overs. The offense is at an advantage, because the player with the ball knows where and when he is going to cut, and the defender that has to react is more likely to slip. It leads to big plays.
It could neutralize speed (Etienne), which I think plays in our advantage. I always say Cam is a one-cut-and-go type guy, and rain would seemingly play perfectly to that style. Plus Cam always breaks the first tackle. Trevor can run it too, but King and Cam aren't that far behind Trevor and Etienne, IMO.
Before the season, I said we would be about a 4 TD dog (at that time, we would have). Last week, I predicted the line would be 10.5. UVA showed Clemson has some chinks in the armor. I consider myself a realist, which is usually considered optimistic on this board. And I really think we can win this game.
