8 Nebraska CFB Players File Lawsuit Against The Big10

Any kid from down here or this state that decided to go up there must be hating Life right now and not one snowflake has fallen out there.

Anyone ever left a girl for another one only to realize that btch is crazy and takes like 3 psychiatric medications? That’s Fleming and Green right now. The other 2 bounced real quick.
No amount of bags is worth that place.

They cancelled Fall football out of being worried about lawsuits from players unionizing, only to still get sued by players for cancelling the Fall season lol...

Kevin Warren better get that resume ready cause he's gonna have to fall on the sword when this is all said & done. That man will have no choice but to "step down" because the B1G school Presidents will never admit that they all (except for Neb & Iowa) voted against playing this season.

I also can't wait to see how bad Winter/Spring B1G football looks like, literally every team in the conference plays in an outdoor stadium but they think it would be a good idea to play Football in the North Midwest B1G country in places like Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa & Pennsylvania in January, February & March LOL.

And let's say their plan is to play in an indoor stadium, logistically how is it gonna work having 14 teams play in only 1 or 2 stadiums, because I sincerely doubt they'll be able to find enough indoor stadiums to accommodate each team individually. And unless all the home stadiums that they already play in have the ability to close their roof (which I don't believe they do), they're basically looking at playing nothing but Snowed out below -0 temperature games in the Winter/early Spring...

Good luck with that.

No comment on the suit but Nebraska, the institution, should thank the Big 10 every day for letting them in.

All Big 10 schools have American Association of Universities membership, but Nebraska lost that. That is a big deal for the Big 10. Nebraska lacks a large media/TV market and it will never have one. It is not a huge national brand and likely never will be. Plus it desperately wanted out of the Big 12 and it fell up, by any measure. All Nebraska really has/had going for it was geographic location and the fact that JIm Delaney liked the idea of adding that "pretty girl". Of course he also thought it was a good idea to add Rutgers and Maryland......

BigPussy fcked this up badly. They overplayed their hand and wound up playing themselves. They thought they were the bullies on the block and that everyone would follow suit after they canceled, and they'd get the shine for being the first to cancel and lead the way. LOL. They under appreciated just how important college football is to the SEC and ACC and these southern states.

Kids should be permitted to transfer without penalty if their conference refuses to play while others are playing.
What’s the penalty if a kid just leaves a school without requesting a transfer and goes back home? Does the ncaa just take away eligibility all together? That’s seems illegal as fck.

I don’t know but I’m wondering what the recruiting damage to the Big and PAC will be if us and the other 2 conferences are playing in the Fall.

Didn't read the article, but the season starts in a couple weeks. How are they even going to get this case heard before then?

Even if they win their lawsuit, it won't be until after the season.

Still, good for them. I'm rooting for them.
I wondered the same thing about how soon they can get the case heard. Maybe some of our resident lawyers can provide some insight as to how the case can be expedited.

The ACC, SEC, and the BIG12 pretty much gave him the 🖕

Notice how the lawyer is arguing that it's "not about money (less than the federal court $75K requirement)" as he tries to sneak into state court and avoid removal to federal court. He's pushing the angle that it's not about money or disputes, but he needs to keep that in check, as courts are not in the business of giving advisory opinions. There needs to be an actual real dispute/controversy in order to have the case heard.

Football is too big to fail, but unlike Wall Street, it means something more to the people & is a staple of communities across the country.

People love to harp on saying "there are more important things than Football!" Well yeah no shìt, but Football is more than just a game for a lot of folks, on all levels in High School, College & the Pro's, it's the best representation of unity, fairness & meritocracy that you can get in America, it has the ability to change the lives of thousands of people & teach life lessons to kids that you can't really learn any place else.

Throwing it away just isn't an option, beyond just the entertainment value of it, Football is a vertebrae of our culture, the Bill Gates Wuhan weapon is not strong enough to defeat it, CTE scares isn't strong enough, even in the midst of all the fcked up social unrest & police brutality that's going won't stop it, nothing short of a fúckin Asteroid coming down from the sky simultaneously crushing hundreds of stadiums at once would be enough to keep the nation from playing this game. So all the efforts that get used to constantly try & shut it down will always be met with immediate rejection.

The B1G Presidents were banking on a snowball effect to get Footall cancelled, that's why it leaked out to the media when it was first announced, they tried to plant that seed & have it spread that Footbal will be cancelled & everyone would panic & follow suit. They gave a little crumb of information to their lap dog college football writers & those mf'ers ate it up, they were all on Twitter writing the obituary on the 2020 Fall season pouring it on heavy, then 2 days later the ACC & SEC was like, "Nah we good, we're just gonna wear masks, rub some dirt on it, drink some Tussin' for that shît & take a nap, we're still playing". That left the B1G scrambling...

The Pac-12 don't care, they wasn't playing Football no matter what anybody said, they were just waiting on somebody else to make the decision for them lol.
