#8 in Coaches and AP poll

Clemsons gonna be tough, real tough. I do not see how we win that one, But stranger things have happened any given Saturday. Best I can say is WE BELIEVE in our boys.
I think we keep it close and we prove we are a top 10 team. Clemson and OSU right now though are on a different level. By the ACC championship game though I think we will be there too.

Look at that Top 10. What a classic group of teams. Only missing USC for teams who have been elite over the last 20 years.

Not expecting the W but there’s always a chance when you can put up a lot of points. Curious to see how we run against them.

Agree. Overall, I’m satisfied with what we are at this stage, given last years barf bag performance. The offense is doing the little things (big growth from a week ago), the D is the D, more and more assignment focused. We just gotta cut out the immature, selfish penalties. I like the trajectory of this year’s performance, albeit, it’s only three games.

FWIW... during the second-half, I mumbled to no one in particular that MY Hurricanes would be ranked No. 8 in this week's Top 25 polls.

And if another upset occurs in the Top 7 this week, Miami will probably move up another notch. Nevertheless, ESPN/ABC major college football loves the fact, that there will be a Top 10 match-up come October 3rd. And dig this too. CFB Game Day will be in rural small town Clemson.

We are the only 3-0 team. Ohio and Penn state haven't played a game yet, should not even be considered till at least they play a game.
All an SEC team has to do is win one game and they then are automatically ranked.
I would like to know if Miami goes 10-2, (just saying) and an SEC team goes 7-1, who gets the higher ranking.
There are too many scenarios to be considered, total games actually played, win/loss even though teams do not play the same number
of games, no inter league games for comparison purposes. If it is anything like the current rankings, it just leaves too much
criteria open for debate.
Dude, there's too much of the " shortened " CFB season to be played. Before considering your inferences and what not.

I totally understand the exuberance we feel, and we should be careful not to sound like the UCF QB declaring his team as the second best in the state, but let’s enjoy this moment that we have been denied for so long!

Agree, although I think you mean an 9-1 Big 10 team, not a 7-1 $EC team. The $EC is playing a 10-game conference only schedule.

The answer to your question depends on who Miami loses to, and how bad. Do the Canes run the table except for a loss at Clemson? How bad is the loss? A close game or a by 28?. Same for the Big 10 team.

Let’s assume Clemson has an undefeated season, 11-0, and is the top seed in the ACCCG. Clemson beats both Miami and Notre Dame, who both finish 10-1, both losing to Clemson.

Does Miami or Notre Dame get a rematch with Clemson in the ACCCG?

The Suits would want both Miami and ND in the playoffs. Who the f**k let them into the ACC? That’s screws up the whole ACCCG Picture.

Because of covid, they’re going to have to expand the playoff count to 8 teams.

That said, if UM stays within a touchdown, it’s hard to deny the Canes respectability points.

Everyone else in the ACC Will ends up being trash. JMHO.

This situation is highly likely all things considered, I also thought about how that’d play out.

So its now the AMWAY Coaches Poll?

So if we get two coaches who vote for us and they each get two other coaches to vote for them, does that mean that we get six votes? :monkey-serious:

Until we beat a team like Clemson i couldn't care less. I don't wanna play them tough. I wanna beat them. We have the offense to do it. The defense, not certain.

I must say it feels different this time, we are executing and doing the simple things well. We have great kicking game as well. And 2 weeks to prepare
