8-4 is improvement

"Improvement" talk is fine but it's really nothing special to get in 8/occasionally 9 win season territory. PLENTY of corches manage that and essentially stay there forever.

So yeahhh, let's hopefully end this season and be able to say there was Improvement but this talk is essentially meaningless by real standards until a program takes that leap to double digit win land and THAT becomes a realistic perennial standard.

Next year is the year:

— Roster is almost all Mario guys.

— He’s had 3 years to instill his culture.

— I think we’ll see continuity with the staff.

— VERY manageable schedule.

If Mario is the right guy, we see it next year.

Agreed. I actually think we'll start to see it (or not) in relation to how we utilize/manage the transfer portal very soon too.

Talent acquisition is supposed to be his strength. This is why he’s getting paid over 8 million a year. He needs to earn his paycheck by making moves in the portal and in recruiting. We’ll see if he’s up for the test.

Solid season and progress. A couple plays away and TVD injury away from 9 or more wins.

Tech was a win no one will ever change my mind. Mario is on track for a big year 3!

My metric has always been 3 game improvement minimum season to season.

Year 3 is when it's supposed to really come together.

Be upset. Be frustrated at how this season played out. Do not excuse the coaching which was downright atrocious at times.

But I think we forget how bad this team was. I consider this season a missed opportunity more than a failure.

Agreed year 3 tells me where this thing is going long term. Huge off-season ahead for Mario and crew
