8/15 Practise

Not only practicing but apparently excelling. I had big hopes for him coming out of HS, but everyone forgot about him after all the injuries.

If he’s got anything left in the tank athletically after all the awful **** he’s been through, he’s going to be a good player for us. What a testament to his guts that he’s still battling.

What a great story that would be if can get back to a point where he can contribute. Just getting back to from all the misfortune that has happened to him is amazing. Testament to his character that he didn't give up.

Steed had a highlight film from high school that reminded me of the old school Hurricanes.

God willing he stays healthy and finally shows us what he can do out there.

Some of you might not remember a guy named Frank Gore...wink wink. Recall the horrible injuries he suffered? I remember the last while at UM when he was being carted off the field with tears in his eyes. As a fan, I felt his pain!
But what did he do? Faught threw the injuries and left an indelible impression on the memories of the entire football world. In fact, he has secured his place in the HOF for both college and pro.
So, why do we just through away others writing them off as if it is impossible to overcome injuries?

Just asking

Because for every Frank Gore who came back from those injuries to excel, there are thousands who took an injury and were never the same .

Hopefully Steed balls out this year man that would be dope, but guys like Frank Gore are the exception and not the norm

If they actually start Christian Williams or Couch over Ivey it would be a HUGE shift in the way the Defensive staff has gone about making their evals & deciding to hold players accountable, because normally they would just remain status quo & keep throwing the same guys out there & allowing them to keep making mistakes.

But now more than ever is the time to show the team that you're a serious staff by making these guys understand mistakes on the field & missed assignments have consequences, you fck up & cost us TD's you hit the bench, that's just how it's gotta be. Especially during such an uncertain time where reps are more valuable than they've ever been considering at any given moment the powers that be can bring the hammer down with full force to stop Football altogether. Which means these guys gotta take it more serious than ever, can't be too many "my bad coach" or "I thought I had help", have to know the playbook like the back of your hand & have to execute at a high level & get the best out of every rep possible, that's how championship teams are built.

Time is of the essence, need to put the best 11 on the field, no politics or personal favorites, just find the best 11 who can force turnovers, make stops & get us off the field when it matters most.

Make me a believer Baker...
