In Southwest Florida there is a small town called Port Charlotte that has had a pretty bad football team for a few decades. However 3 years ago a 23 year old head coach was hired that has turned them around completely and lead them deep into the state play offs this last year. Because of the schools past not many recruiters visit the school too often. But there's a pretty **** good safety with a huge ceiling named Malik Vaccaro Dixon. From what I've heard he hasn't played football for very long and is a Miami fan, trust me his recruit rating doesnt do him justice. He recently committed to UCF because it was his best offer and he wanted to commit before his senior year. I'm not saying hes a must get by any means, but just curious what any of you guys think?

He looks pretty decent if we missed out on jj or irvin it wouldnt hurt to have a kid like this to lean on plan b tough kid.

Looked really good on the single high looks. Breaks on the ball really well and explodes on ball carriers when tackling. Pretty good hips for a taller db.

Nice prospect.

Didn't look, "on film", fast enough to plat S at Miami. IMHO
He obviously has D-1 talent.
However, you can't always see speed on film and some kids develop into OLB?…. and what is he projected to be at the next level? how much weight can he carry?

From what i hear most school are recruiting him at S, (Sean Taylor fan) switched his # to 21 this year. But most schools don't have Miami speed. He is pretty fast though.. long strides. And i think he could def put on some weight. on his roster for this upcoming season it says hes now 6'4 200 and also plays basketball during the off season which sometimes keeps weight off you in high school.

Off the subject , Now this is a bad man UM could use.

That is a actually 2013 NG Manuel Henriquez from Crystal River he ended up at Bethel University a NAIA school in Tennessee. Sunshine sports used his highlight video as a sample. If the kid was 2 to 3 inches taller he would have been a FBS prospect without a doubt but he is 6ft tall on a good day and solid 300lbs (he was benching 430lbs and squatting 700lbs as Jr in high school). But This was just a off the subject example supporting the OP's point about under the radar types.

From this article he seems like a humble lunch pail type kid that UCF typically picks up and then ends up being a very good player. I am surprised Louisville didn't come looking for him. Dixon seems to have good range to break on hanging balls.

I am curious how come he made it to UCF's Camp , but not Miami's Al Golden camp (which is alot closer) since the OP made no mention of it consdering Dixon is such a Miami fan.
