He chose Syracuse. Congrats to them for getting that done.

However, you can infer a lot. Not a single big boy program was going all in for the player in the situation. Thats a fact.

Good luck to him at Syracuse and all the people around him that celebrate that as some massive achievement.

There's only one problem, SYRACUSE BASKETBALL HASN'T BEEN GOOD IN ALMOST A FULL DECADE. Boeheim ran that program into the ground, and Autry is praying that a legacy recruit bails him out because that program has been cheeks during his tenure. So, if he's making a selection based on Basketball, he picked arguably the worst option on the table. Miami, despite not having a ton of basketball heritage has significantly more recent success than Syracuse.

You never know, and we've seen guys exceed their ranking and play themselves into legit lottery conversations. We know that from previous years(We've seen it here with Kyshawn George). He's going to have plenty of PT to make his mark, Autry is praying this guy is good enough to save his job, because Syracuse has been mediocre at best throughout his tenure.

They very well May be the worst team out of the ones at the table but they most likely treated him as a legitimate basketball prospect in regards to playing time/role/minutes etc...Any basketball offer Miami made to him n that Lopez cat came from Cristobal asking for a favor, not because Jai Lucas legitimately wanted to recruit them aside from football..Syracuse essentially sold him in being a two sport star there and gave him a nice bag on top of it..

Very telling lack of "all in interest" from elite programs.

Also...he stays a 5*...had he dropped the hat for Miami, tomorrow he's rated a 4*.

If OSU ain’t selling their future children for a wr, that’s a huge red flag imo. They been the best in the game at hunting down elite WRs. And nothing has changed on that staff in regards to wr evaluations, it’s still the same people in charge.

Not even talking about wrs. I have made it clear you can always find a good wr. My focus is at DT and now safety and LB
 
I’ll say it again.

I have zero interest in a raw, skinny WR who needs a lot of work and also wants to play basketball. And, wants a massive NIL deal on top of it. Syracuse was the program willing to go for that. No one else was.

Take that as you will.

Like I said bro you have a fair point if we're talking about 5 star talent but to say we're struggling with 4 stars is completely off, those rooms are littered with blue chip talent, just have to develop them better then we've been doing.

What are your several positions? I mean if its strictly Safety, I'll agree. DT I think you have to just let it play out. Like if we have a DT class of Lamar Brown, Bacon, Kennedy, how would that not be considered at least really good?

We have a Qb
our RB is top 300 and we're looking to add elite guy in cooper and likely will.
WR we have two 4stars including one top 100 player.
TE we have a top 150 guy
Oline we have a very good class that includes the #1 player in the country and are still trying to add Kolojay.
lb we have a top 150 recruit
CB we have four 4 star recruits
EDGE we have a top 200 recruit right now.

So Struggling? Uh no. Landing everyone and everthing going Great? Also no. There is a whole **** of a lot of middle ground between the two. We have a good class right now. What will make it great is if we can sign 2+ of the top DLineman we have been after, and make up some significant ground at safety. Even at DT the two we have is a pretty **** solid base that we just need to add a stud like Lamar Brown too.
But we have 7 top 200 recruits in July. Last year we signed 6-7 total. 2024 we signed 10. So clearly we have a lot of room to go to have a great class. But it's not even close to bad as things stand.
