5-star OT Wright anticipates UM official visit, talks Canes, Turnover Chain at the Opening

If I still lived in WV I would take him myself.

Do you think the distance will be the ultimate factor in the final decision? Let's say he comes down for his OV with his family - they are blown away by the visit and see the benefit of playing for CMR - will he ACTUALLY come? How important is it for his family to see him play? Chances are that won't happen much given the difficulty of travel. I can understand that being a big part of the final decision.

Jeez if we can pull an offensive tackle with the help of the Turnover Chain we're definitely onto something with that

Alabama would drop an envelope with cash in his mailbox to get him to their camp.

He needs an OV to make it down to Miami. He couldn't make it for an UV when he was going to see all them other schools like bama UV.

That's why you can't wonder about some kids that seem to live on campus and then sign elsewhere.
this is why that means nothing, kids can be on campus all the time and go someplace else. But the sheep will read over this like it doesnt happen

Who has done that recently other than jobe and Henderson and now you are scarred for life like that happens in every recruitment?....

Did he visit the other schools for a UV on his own? That would definitely be a sign he's just looking for a free vacation.

Just looked at rivals.com videos from the opening and did not see wright in the 1x1's. Anyone have highlights of him?

If Wright and Neal committed, it would be the best OL class on paper ever signed by Miami.

Stefan, did Wright indicate when he was planning on committing?
It could be the easiest position to sell to elite recruits. If they watch last year they can see we are only a couple all ACC linemen away from being neck and neck with the best programs in the Country. "Don't you want to be the guy to put the Canes back on top? You are the missing link" kind of thing.

I think there have been a couple of times recently where a kid was on campus a lot and did not sign here, but that is not the typical recruitment. More often than not, the kids that are around campus often are the kids that sign. At the very least, a kid being on campus often is a sign that the recruit is comfortable to the school, the coaches, and/or the players. And that's a good thing. Obviously it's not a 100% indicator (nothing is in recruiting), but to say a kid being on campus often "means nothing" is just as wrong as saying a kid who is on campus often is a "lock."

3% chance we get him. Btw rarely does a recruit bad talk a school. Ull see all the upcoming interviews all the kids will talk highly of UM but wont commit.
Why do you go out the way to **** on these peoples hope? This has nothing to do with this kid & i strongly doubt he does sign here because we wont give everyone free flights etc. But this is common with you it seems & its not like u got some info on this. You just wanna say we aint getting **** near anyone unless theyre from miami & not elite... maybe im wrong. If so than my bad. Just remember the name & a common theme on here.

We're still waiting for Chris Steele to commit here.
