5 star Leonard Taylor

I understand why he does it. I used to do the same thing to a lesser extent before I just gave up on it lol
I'm just an old Cane and not an insider by any stretch. But I've been a Cane for a LONG time and hopefully can provide some insight and perspective beyond the X's an O's. Fellas like you and Cribby provide reliable insight and info we can't get anywhere else. For free no less! I hope you both will ignore the noise from the idiots that come at you and continue to contribute the invaluable info you have in the past.

No , it’s the same guys that 100% sniff Mannys balls regardless.

When I post something negative about the staff , their coaching or recruiting I know the same 3-4 guys who’ll come flying in either questioning the post or mocking it. Just because it goes against the staff. It’s literally groundhogs day.

But if it’s good news or positive they like it and keep it moving.

I get it some don’t want to own it or in denial and that’s why I’ll just keep it moving.
That may be true for 3-4 people, but there are hundreds of people that post here. Most of us appreciate what you bring to the board no matter if I like or dislike it. I am also going to ask questions, try to post facts, call out some bull**** in general and admit when I am wrong. And I don’t give a **** who the coach is which is what I am referring to half the time when I say multiple things can be right or wrong at the same time —- like you were 100% right about the favoritism in the WR, yet we also legitimately had people here saying that COVID didn’t impact the room at all last year - also arguing at a point that TVD should have got burn in a game he was legit on the COVID list.

Like you said. Just keeping moving

Sorry I’m referring to the number of kids who may speak glowingly in public and rip this staff behind the scenes
When Cam Williams left he seemed to have a not so great view of what was going on. People pushed it off as bitterness, but it was clearly much deeper than that.

Honest question. If that’s the case why are they still here? Why didn’t those guys just hit the portal and find a program that utilizes their skill set the way they want?

This is BS. I've read at least 100 posts about how Manny only plays seniors.
I'd imagine Taylor let the coaches know what would happen if he doesn't play, so his hand is probably being forced...which isn't good. Basically it would mean Manny did something right for.the wrong reasons.

Just because you leave doesnt mean you find a home. The portal is brutal.

You also need to separate the legitimate vs. illegitimate gripes. Like Bill Belichick likely goes down as the greatest head NFL coach of all time and Saban for CFB. Fine if not the top spot for both, top 5 guaranteed.

Both are known for putting players in positions to succeed, it is legit their calling card. Yet in this offseason you saw Henry for NE ask for a trade feeling like he was not utilized properly, you see old NE free agents criticize how they were used, and for Bama you see guys like Kevin Harris saying the same thing **** I think even Taulia said he felt MD fit his skills better. The issue is when it is a large portion of the team. It may be an issue with only 1-2 kids or players but I think that is pretty normal across the board in CFB. I agree with what others have said though, we need a solid win to quiet down some of the rumblings. Had a lot of preseason hype, came out flat and got smacked then had a dog fight against App. State (who is no JSU but still) now we have a mich st team with some talent, better than anyone expected, lots of confidence, we need a good breakout showing then have a bunch of backups get PT at the end of the game and a lot of this goes away until we F up against some middle of the road ACC team.

LOL what?? Because 1 kid was bitter? I'm all for calling out the staff for *ACTUAL FOOTBALL RELATED SHlT*, but there's some serious going off the deep end stuff happening on this board right now. Cam Williams garbage grades have nothing to do with us not being able to communicate well enough to cover a slow white tight end in a bunch stack to the boundary, trust me. They have no relationship.

I said that in my response, but OSU is getting ragdolled right now in the run game. They have highly ranked kids, but Sawyer is standing on the sidelines watching those kids get flattened like pancakes by Minnesota and Oregon.

My only point is people on this board act like Miami does things differently than anyone else. And, since Manny is toxic as the Springfield Nuclear Plant right now, anything he does is second-guessed. But there's just an avalanche of Monday morning QBs around here who think there's some mountain of evidence that shows Miami has high NFL talent that sits around for years behind kids who stink. It's simply not true. The main example everyone uses is Rousseau, who he himself admitted was not up to speed in camp of his R-Fr. season in 2019 (coming off a broken ankle in Game 1 of the 2018 season), and Patchan started while Greg rotated in. The kid himself admitted he wasn't ready, but OK, even if he was, I'll give the pitchfork mafia that one. The staff is clueless and played Patchan over GR15. Point taken. Show me other examples of dominating players who sit on the bench behind kids who suck. And 2020 really doesn't count for me, there was no spring and very limited summer workouts. So if you want to tell me that Keyshawn Smiff should have played over Mark Pope last year, I won't argue with you, but let's be realistic. How many reps was he really taking before the bullets were live?

This is not defending the staff. I'm not saying they know best and don't make mistakes and all fans are idiots. I'm only saying that this is not a "Miami only" discussion. If you read this board, you'd think that every highly ranked kid at every other school is just balling all over everyone, while our stud recruits ride the pine for years. It's simply not true. Some kids do, some kids don't. But there is no bias here over younger players, the staff needs to feed their families and they do that by being employed. Nobody is purposely playing a worse player and risking losing games/getting fired because they have some rule that says young kids can't play.

All that to say, if 56 isn't out there on Saturday, I'll be shocked. It'd be one thing if they were saying he was way behind, etc. But Simpson has been praising him and saying his PT will increase as the season goes on. It's time to give him some snaps, and I think they will.

Bro, but U’re premise in bringing up OSU was to show what we’re doing is not unique. That’s not true; most teams trot out their best players, period. We trot out the new kids when it becomes abundantly clear after several games that the older guys r not getting it, then we’ll trot out the youngins or if an injury happens. But what’s worst? The following season, we’ll give that same older guy another shot, but just at a different position. That chit has happened for a min.

OSU is getting rag dolled b/c they have a rag doll scheme, one that’s been evident since last season. Day actually spoke up on that. U could have Calais, Donald, and The Watts brothers on that line, and the same chit is going to happen. Which is y Day said they’ve identified & will address, even alluding to someone different calling the D.

Regardless, back to the subject at hand; elite teams don’t care about age. If ur upper classmen r leaders & ballers, then youngin, wait ur turn. They’ll see some spot duty in some clean up games or ST. But if the youngins r better, then they play & start. Feelings be damned. We were assured that the best will play, and no seniority will be shown. We’ve seen that on the offensive end, kinda, but it’s the same merry-go-round on the defense.

Manny has his dream job and he's coaching for his life. He's making millions. If he has a good season he can get an extension and make millions more. To think he is playing favorites or doing anything other than trying to win each game is just ludicrous. Maybe he sucks. Maybe he can't coach. Maybe he's not the answer. The rest of the year will probably answer those questions. But let's cut out the conspiracy b******* nonsense.
Manny has always played favorites. The simple fact that King is our starting QB instead of QB3 should be as far as you need to look. Loyalty to friends and older players is one of his many flaws.

No coach should give in to kids pressure or threats.
If Manny is going to play kids because they are threatening to leave he'll lose all credibility and power over his players.

Then it will magically come out that he was "injured" the first few weeks
If you're referring to Rousseau it was out for public consumption BEFORE the season started that he had an back injury in camp and was being brought along slowly. Not everything is Area 51 conspiracy time.

I looked into a few freshman dts to see what they're doing and Mason smith has 3.5 tfls and 3sacks,shemar turner has 1.5 tfls and 1.5 sacks, Florida has that 400lb Dt playing. There's no reason Taylor shouldn't be playing when these guys are.
Yup against FUGGING app state

I’ve said it already but against Alabama I get it… but App State?!?! Cmon man
