I believe this recruitment is WIDE OPEN. FYI I'm from Baton Rouge and I'm very familiar with U High. I have a cousin who is an 8th grader there who is showing signs of promise at RB. Enough of that. U High is an upper middle class school and that includes many of the athletes' families. A lot of those kids leave the state for college. So, if Lamar Brown commits to Miami or somewhere not LSU don't be surprised.

I have mentioned the difference in this off season recruiting more than once. They are killing it and Mario did take last years finish personally. That's why someone was demoted and the new off field recruiting hires. Then you add coach Wilson who is a killer recruiter and it's a big difference. 4 moves particularly for me, but their were more moves this off season, obviously. They all helped. I think highly of this group on and off the field. I believe Mario has finally nailed the staff and he had to on D. Now, let's hold onto them all for a few years and see what we have. If Beck gets these receivers performing and JoJo stays healthy, I expect Dawson will take a HC job because Beck has a great season.

For real. Patrick Peterson is in my top 3 college cornerbacks all time. I remember the first time I saw him playing as a true freshman. Dude looked like a small linebacker playing corner. But he was fast and stuck to the receivers like glue. Came up in run coverage and was flat out bullying the receivers and sticking the running back. Just amazing for a true freshman.

This guy Brown would have to play like Orlando Pace for us to get any type of payback for not getting Peterson.

You must mean Cortez Kennedy. He's playing Defense in college.

I’m not an insider or anything but I got the vibes that Mario took our finish last year personally (jokes aside)

The 2026 class was one people have been eyeing for a while because it’s given us a chance to build long term relationships

So it’s possible we could see an all-in insane class this year. Just not sure how big I’ll let myself dream here

Yeah but the long term relationships were supposed to be with high schools on S. Florida that our previous regimes ****ed all over on.
Mario has cast a super wide net, and I love it.

All I can say is this staff is killing it this weekend and kids are really impressed. Their families are treated like rock stars, as well. Let’s see how tomorrow goes. Mario needs to close.

This cycle’s strategy is different and more aggressive which is much better than last year’s. Anyone who questions Miami’s $ needs to be put in a locker. Lol.
