I think a lot of you guys are still stuck in the old era recruiting mindset.

In the NIL era, anything is possible.
(Word to KG)

Kids are not playing us like they would have under previous regimes, because the money on the table is REAL.

This ain't 2018... Miami is on the same echelon recruitng-wise with all the powerhouse schools.

If Justin Scott, Jaboree Antoine, Hayden Lowe & Cantwell have taught you anything, it's that Miami is a real player in these recruiting battles.

Now, if he was from South FL, we wouldn't have a shot.

No doubt
And if it were a kid literally at any other school in America, I’d be more inclined to feed into this. BUT THIS SCHOOL? AND HIM TWEETING THAT? Yeah, nah lol. He is playing the game, not mad at em. Who was the last big time kid from that school to not go to LSU? Dylan Moses is the only one I can think of, and he left for Bama when they were winning the natty every other year.

I just don’t see it, but I have no doubt that we will try our hardest to make history and prove me wrong. He is the #1 player left on the board IMO, so I’d love to be wrong.

Have some faith.
Our chances just jumped ...to about 5%.

Seriously, him naming us specifically? smh.

I agree but also don’t think we are gonna pony up the money it’s gonna take after Cantwell and the money some of these WRs are gonna need

But that’s just me throwing **** against the wall

Happened with Devonta Smith too

Your mean Peterson?
It’s only payback if this dude is a guaranteed multi year pro bowler first ballot yellow jacket.
If not, it’s just a recruiting steal.
For real. Patrick Peterson is in my top 3 college cornerbacks all time. I remember the first time I saw him playing as a true freshman. Dude looked like a small linebacker playing corner. But he was fast and stuck to the receivers like glue. Came up in run coverage and was flat out bullying the receivers and sticking the running back. Just amazing for a true freshman.

This guy Brown would have to play like Orlando Pace for us to get any type of payback for not getting Peterson.

Not to mention the fact that he gets hit on most every day by the LSU coaches since he’s pretty much on campus….i’d love to see Mario do this but I think the kid is playing “ up the bag” with LSU….
Y’all think it’s strategic on the kids side, I think the angle Miami taking is even more strategic.

You already applying massive pressure on Keys, now you start upping the bag for Lamar… both? Highly unlikely, one though?

Would love to see it but it’s very rare like finding a 100 bill rare to get a kid from university that LSU wants cause they are on him daily being as he’s right there….i mean how many recruits you think we’d lose that we wanted if we had a HS ON the Miami campus?

Don’t think you really want to know this answer…

probably right ….but these kids around here have LSU beat into their brain from birth and there’s really no competition in the state unlike the Miami area where you have UiF and SEMENHOLE grads who aren’t as loyal to the local school.
