Less than 24 hours after committing to the Miami Hurricanes, five-star athlete A'Mir Sears is already recruiting for the Hurricanes' next recruiting class.

On Instagram, Brysen Wright, who is rated as the No. 1 player in the 2028 recruiting class, reposted Sears' commitment. Sears commented under the repost with two words: "you next."

According to multiple sources, the Miami Hurricanes are viewed as a strong contender in Brysen Wright's recruitment. Wright hails from Jacksonville, Florida, where he plays high school football for Mandarin, which is the same team Miami's 2028 quarterback commit, Knox Annis plays for.

Think I heard Mario say he has no problem paying guys but they have to show it on the field. He said he doesn’t talk to agents during the season. Either way, this is an embarrassment of riches. I’m not sure how to feel because I’m still trying to process the Donte Wright commitment. . This is getting biblical.

I agree but this kid is a potential superstar. At some point, you take what is given and prove it on the field (in regard to other receivers in the room). I am sure kids will ask for more if they perform well. Also, the ROI on a kid like this is insane. Of course, no one has a greater ROI than Mali.

Yea money under the table hurt us back then but we would have survived and had so much more success if just one of these coaches had stayed for let’s say 10-15 years.How many NC’s would we of had if either of those 3 had stayed put?

This is the part I have made several posts about. Mario is a lifer at Miami, and I believe due to the landscape of CFB now, he may end up as Miami's all time wins and title leader as a coach.

That would have become Howard, Jimmy and Butch’s reality at some point. They would have been better than Shannon, Golden and Diaz, but they could never achieve perfection against those rules.

What chaps my *** is now the narrative I am hearing is Miami was paying (more than others) in the 80s and 90s and the reason we fell off is because we couldn't pay. This is in the context of a discussion where it is being implied that the SEC rose to prominence because they were able to keep their players home because of proximity and not money, but now that NIL exists other teams are able to poach the talent. The audacity of these MFers to not acknowledge that the exodus of SoFla talent was initiated and maintained by illicit payments made by schools who were selectively protected by the NCAA whilr they ruled over us with an Iron Fist is infuriating.

I agree. Mario is not unique as a coach, but he is in a small group. And Mario might be the most adaptive of all of them.

 

It’s extra special that him and Nick are Miami kids. I know how it important it was to expand the brand and recruit national again but glad we got these future Miami legends.

I said for years that if Miami ever gets the right coach and starts keeping the top players from the state, that’s when the resurgence will take place.

And now, here we are.

Nothing can’t stop the coming tidal wave. DJ Jacobs has kept his recruitment open for a reason. He was just waiting to see who commits. When Sears reclassified and announced his commitment a few days later, I believe that will have sealed the deal. Miami wants him, and Miami has reached that point in recruiting momentum when, if they want a player, they’re gonna get him. They have the pocketbook, they have the coaching staff, and now, they have proof of concept and success.

That’s the trifecta.

The money game is different and it favors Miami today.
Mario is a great recruiter and the war chest is full.
For years we saw OSU, Bama, UGA and Clem with their under the table deals running the table on the field. Now we can afford to play the game.

More importantly, our players can afford to enjoy the city of Miami.

We have multiple billionaires funding the bulk of our NIL. Unless it’s Michigan throwing a bag his way, I don’t think money will be the issue.
