2027 5* RB Kemon Spell

Sure. Whats to say it won’t swing back to ground and pound (pause) in another 10-20 years? The game is always evolving. Maybe someone like Saquon goes nuts one year. If he has two more games than LT, there’s a 12.5% increase in opportunities. I’m not disputing what you’re saying about it being a passing league.
We could see it but we also don't have many three down backs anymore. The reason Henry has been so dominate is because he has played in a run first offense his whole career and he has been relatively healthy. There are a hand full of good backs now that are featured.

Even pre injury to most eyes,(pre injury um)already had two major knee surgeries. All that being said I firmly believe if Frank didn't have more serious injuries from us on he would be HIGH up there in that best ever conversation. Not necessarily Barry even though Frank is my brother and I got glasses on. But he'd definitely be in that top 5 convo. That boy was SPECIAL

My understanding (and please correct me if i'm wrong) is Frank had a knee injury at Gables before he got on campus, and 2 knees at Miami (I heard he was trying to dodge a Sean tackle in practice on the first knee injury). I really got to see Frank run after he came back from the first knee at Miami in 2003? He was still nice with the shake at that point, but after the second knee at Miami there was--to me--a noticeable difference in the aggressiveness of his lateral movement. I have so much respect for dude because he had to rehab and adjust his running-style multiple times but still found a way to the NFL & imposed his will.

Frank was a more physical, north/south version of Barry (and I don't say that casually) that ran with more leverage; never saw Frank get knocked backwards.

Barry was the best, but I put Frank in that Bo "what if" category.

Frank had two in high school as well. Just was to the same knee. One was coming into high school other was senior year if I remember right but might e been Jr year. I know I always say this but that's when Dade county football meant something. You had the Davis brothers than frank, tyrone at ely. Monsters all around.

Were they ACLs in HS? Didn't know he had knee injuries in HS too. I can't imagine given I'm pretty sure both his knee injuries here were ACLs... I'd assume in HS maybe Meniscus/MCL...

Said it on here forever. That true freshman season, when he averaged 9.1 a clip, still to this day, I have *never* seen a back, in person, who was quicker into and through a hole as Frank was that first year. He was a literal hiccup. The acceleration was insane for a human that size, he was into the 2nd level before the OL was really fully engaged with their defenders.

I specifically remember sitting in the OB with my old man that year, and obviously back then we got 0.1% of the recruiting coverage we get now, so I had heard his name, but had never seen a highlight film, had no clue what he looked like, etc. He was just a name on the back page of the sports section in February on NSD, and then some word of mouth in the community. But I never saw him play in HS. So our first glimpse of him, in person, was that first home game against Rutgers. I'm pretty sure he came in late in the 3rd or maybe 4th quarter, and the first time he got through a hole, my dad and I instantly snapped our heads to look at each other and had this look on our faces like, "WTF was that?!". He just exploded out of a cannon. Again, I've never seen anything like it, even to this day. He was at full-speed before he got the handoff, it was incredible.

I'm with you, if he doesn't blow out that knee in 2022, and then again, we legit might be talking about him as a Top 5 back of all time in the league. The talent was breathtaking.

I had the same reaction when I first saw him (on TV not in person). His ability to reach top speed was astonishing. That's why I think looking at 100-meter times doesn't really tell the story on how fast a kid plays. The most relevant "speed" is from zero to 10, 15, or 20 yards. For a RB, how quick he gets through that whole (big pause). His "burst."

You'd assume wrong. Acl
So 4 acl Injuries before the NFL and still finishing with 9 1k+ yard seasons (and another 2 with 900+)... Yeah pretty crazy.

Especially since acl injuries back then were much harder recoveries than now. Though recovering from ACLs while younger is much better results at least....

Was in same district as frank coming up, what year were these injuries because if he had 325+ rushing, 200 receiving 5 TDs his junior year on 2 bad knees, he is the real baby jesus.. :ibis-roflmao-sm3:

I know Mcgahee had injury I think at miami springs prior to getting to central but Gore was cutting up his last two years for sure, its a blur for me now I dont remember his sophmore year but his running style was different, idk if that was due to injury (we werent as connected back then at all).. I do remember we "held him" to season low his senior year of like 250+ yards and I was sitting in DC office the next day and he had atleast 4 HC around county calling him to get copies of the film and how they could pick up a copy or meet up. They werent even on Coral gables schedule but just in case for playoff purposes.. Season low of 250 and DC look like a genius LOL..

Im trying to remember what year they made playoffs and had to play Northwestern, I remember telling all them boys from neighborhood he was THE TRUTH but they had to learn that lesson themselves.. lol

He might have had meniscus at the end, again its a blur its been soo long, I just remember the long runs of being in same district and andre, gore, roscoe and sending them boys to the U..

I might be wrong but I think Edge might have also had an injury in High school. 🤷‍♂️
You know the crazy thing about Edge is he's a HOFer. But if he never had his injury in the NFL I actually think he'd be looked at as the unanimous 4th or 5th best RB in NFL history after Barry, Payton, and Jim Brown and maybe Eric ****erson. Not Emmitt smith, AP, LT, etc....

He's 14th all time in career rush yards with 12,246. 22nd in Rush TDs with 80. He had 7 1k+ seasons, 4 of which were 1500+yards. His first 2 yrs he had 1500 and 1700 yards. Then he tore his acl 6games into season that he was setting the pace to be the best of his career with at least 110y/g and 1800 yards rushing.

The issue is it really made him take a step back for multiple years before truly returning to form and racking up another two 1500 yard seasons. I think had he not had that setback he'd legit have 7 straight 1500 yard seasons to start his career. And I wouldn't be surprised if 3+ of those were 1700 yard seasons. Now I don't know if he would have put up a 2000 yard season that most of the rbs who were viewed as the top top did, but that is also because he had Harrison/Wayne competing for touch-share.

For comparison in terms of amount of 1500 yard seasons, Emmit Smith has 3, AP had 2, LT had 3, Barry had 5 (another 2 at 1400), ****erson had 4 (but 3 were 1800+!!!), Curtis Martin had 2, Derick Henry has had 5.... Terrell davis had 3 in his (who imo shouldnt be be a HOFer) 4yr run to start his career before falling off a cliff due to the acl injury as well was basically the same starting pace Edge was on. Except Edge actually returned from injury and put up 5 more 1k seasons....
