4-star OL Breck Kolojay very close to announcing a decision

"I don't want OG until we prove we can get DT"
My personal favorite “I want the opposing team at full strength”

Ok. You probably know better than me. I’m just putting OL in perspective as i think we’ve done good enough there as compared to other needs.
WR the only thing we really “NEED” would be a Legit like 5star type WR. Otherwise our WR class is good. And the overall talent distribution on the roster is looking good after this class. I do think we need a 4th WR this class. But I’m not trippin about it. Like we probably go for one top Portal WR again, but Unlike this past portal season we aren’t like desperate for 3 and depth. I like our WR room. All we are missing in recruiting is the truly Elite 5star talent, which I’d hope we land at least 1 every 3 years…

Like I’d give our WR class at least a B+, maybe slightly A- if you really love Spafford and Wingo (which many do).

Whereas Safety… we need like 2 more that have any hope of playing here AND probably a portal guy next yr… DT depth isn’t much better

You pacifist.

When has the our recruiting class, good or bad, ever been done by August?
It hasn't been and I never said it was.
We have 22 commits. There are 11 teams in the top 15 that have 22 or less commits as well.
They're not done either.

Jumping Michigan (#11) and Tennessee (#10) is doable.
Next up is LSU (#9) and Oregon (#8) with 17/16 commits. Would be nice to jump them but highly unlikely.
It's just numbers.

Getting bodied by a team going downward, but for some reason only Miami has to show progress. No one else has to

But thats cope by CIS and a false narrative by goofies, to give themselves excuses as to why a recruit went somewhere else. Either its a conference excuse or we have to make the playoffs excuse or they wanted to play with Cam excuse (but chose to play with Howard who's *** lol), or we haven't done anything in 25 years excuse......yet USC hasn't done anything in 24 years. Crazy cope

Bags always win, its undefeated
You should recheck your notes.

You know what I mean they been a corpse as long as we have with the expectations they have
They won 10 games 11 times in that span while we have won that twice. They put kids in the NFL as well. Sure they have been a disappoint for their standards but they haven’t been the dumpster fire we have been. I’m pointing out that they don’t need to prove what we have to prove.

These NIL deals that some states now allow HS kids to sign make flips harder. Same with a coach getting fired and everyone is free to transfer, the NIL makes things more difficult. Flips have peaked. They will still happen in Dec., but not at the level it was happening 2 years ago and as more states allow this, even less will be in the future. Most of these classes are set by July at least at the top of the food chain.

Yeah reality is if we are gonna finish ahead of teams like OSU/Oregon/Texas etc it’s likely going to be a numbers game not a per recruit ranking

The average recruit ranking does seem to be getting more dispersed. Not seeing the 95+ like we used to

That's it.
My comment previous to the last one wasn't about feelings or being mopey (not saying you said it was).
There's pretty good data out there with most top team's classes being more than 3/4 complete.

Sure, if we get the DT from Meechigan and flip Keys, we can sniff the #9 spot.
Not happening IMO.

I posted it a few times before but our high water mark has been #7 and I think low water was maybe #15 as far as average recruit ranking since Mario got here. #7 was in 2023 and I think 2024 was somewhere around #11

Still very good imo considering our history but still not anywhere near getting over the hump. There’s usually about a 2 point difference between us and the top schools
