I'm going to say it again: Everyone wants to watch Mario Cristobal's Miami Hurricanes play on national television.

According to the ESPN PR Twitter account, 4.6 million people watched the Miami Hurricanes defeat the Clemson Tigers 41-13, which was enough to be the second most-watched game on Saturday, just behind Alabama versus Mississippi State, which drew 5.1 million viewers.

The game also peaked at 5.5 million people.



In Week 3, the Hurricanes drew 2.3 million viewers on a Friday night game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, which ranked as the ninth most-watched game of the weekend.

The Hurricanes have been drawing viewership from all around the country, and I can understand why. This team is so much fun to watch--especially with the Malachi Toney and Darian Mensah duo going to work.

The team is on a bye-week before getting back onto the field to play against in-state rival, the Florida State Seminoles. The Canes and the Seminoles rivalry is one of the best in the country, so we can possibly see Miami crack the top-10 viewership for Week 7.

 

I think it'll be second to UGA vs Bama but not far off. Media engine doesn't pull our way very much. The time of year could significantly benefit us though. Plus hate watchers galore will be present.

No, it will be higher than UGA vs Bama, as long as both are undefeated! Miami vs Indiana championship game got higher numbers than ND vs Ohio State championship game! Watch!

I have to give ABC Network some credit on this one. They were clearly trying to get this game televised without any weather delays. There were several times in the first three quarters when there was a change of possession and they did not cut to a 3 minute commercial break, instead they did the 60 second turnaround w/o going to commercial. I assume this was in an effort to keep the game moving ahead of the storm that rolled in like 20 minutes after the game ended.
