30 Years ago Miami came back in the fourth quarter against FSU, beat Toledo, beat VT at home 27-13, before blowing out Notre Dame on national television, they finished that year by beating Oklahoma for the National Championship.
It would have been enough for the year just to be odd and the President republican.

I want to beat Bama in the NV game, but OU will do just to keep the historical stuff in place.
 
Seeing as how I've been raised in the "Sooner Nation" and OU was my first hatred of a team AND I have been a Cane fan since the Bosworth era, I would absolutley love to meet OU in the Orange Bowl. I can't stand crimson and cream.

Every national title has come in an odd numbered year also.
Many would argue that 86 and 2002, were as good or better than 87 and 2001. You’d be hard pressed to find a Cane that saw 86, that doesn’t think it was as good as 2001.

The ‘88 team was an awful call away from a title as well. And we beat to death a bunch of conference champions that year + a 31-0 beatdown of the Noles.
 
you are not off on that assumption lol....but that 2000 squad should of won too, and there was a dem in the office....but I feel what u are saying
