Ok so I think I'm finally coming back to normal after the loss....... So to make myself feel a bit better I bought these...
And the population of Mississippi is 2.9 million. We also had a Thursday night game and Oregon-Indy had a Friday night game. Friday night nationally televised games are going to get better ratings.
No. That can't be. Notre Dame was playing. That's impossible!8M more than OSU - ND last year. Nuts.
Yup it's the dirty little secret that ND doesn't really want anyone to know which is there is no massive national fanbase anymore. There may have been in the 1960s, but there is no evidence based on their yearly watch numbers or their title game numbers or rivalry game numbers that Notre Dame brings a TV audience. They don't.No. That can't be. Notre Dame was playing. That's impossible!

So if I read that correctly, 76 million people watched Miami play football last year.30M viewers is more than all but 1 ACC team had during their entire regular season.
That one team was Miami.

You aren't including the Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl nor @8&4So if I read that correctly, 76 million people watched Miami play football last year.
Well ****.
Crap you’re right, wow that’s crazy. So around 100mil…woah.You aren't including the Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl nor @8&4
The 2026 College Football National Championship delivered massive numbers.
The title game featuring Miami and Indiana drew 30.1 million viewers, with a peak of 33.2 million, according to viewership data. Even with a loss in the national championship, it’s still impressing numbers.
Those numbers made it the second most-watched College Football Playoff National Championship game ever, and the second best cable telecast of all time. It also became the most-watched non-NFL sporting event since Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.
If that’s not impressive enough, this year’s National Championship pulled in 8 million more viewers than last year’s game. Not bad, especially considering a lot of Hurricanes fans probably skipped last year anyway, it featured Ohio State and Notre Dame, two teams Miami fans HATE.
The U still carries real weight. Win or lose, when Miami is involved, people watch, and this championship game was another reminder of that.
Right! And we should embrace that roleHate watching = $$. That’s why all the best wrestling promoters know they you can’t make money without a great heel!
Does that factor into the ACC viewership for revenue? Ha
What makes you think they don’t want Miami? The only reason Miami is in the ACC is due to the grant of rights. 2029-2031, the acc blows up.Makes you wonder why the SEC or Big Ten wouldn't want Miami in their conferences. Big Draw. Great matchups: Miami-PSU, Miami-OSU, Miami-LSU, Miami-Texas, etc etc
