3 DE in the first 3 Rounds?

I mean Clemson had 3 defensive lineman in the first round and 1 in the second a few years ago but I hope this happens , it really will help with recruiting, we haven’t had any players go high in the draft , in a while .

Nah. Phillips ain’t going 1st round with that injury history. Probably 2nd. 1st if he comes back. Walter football has Phillips as the #8 DE. Roche probably 3rd round maybe could get in 2nd with good workouts.

Side note Walter football has bolden as the #4 safety and a 1st-3rd grade. He might be gone fr.

very possible, Phillips may only have this year on tape for the most part but i dont see how he would fall past the 2nd. this is not a great year for edge in the draft, i feel our guys are 3 of the top 7/8 guys available
 
Rousseau, Roche and Phillips are a menace, and would represent great advertising to HS DEs on the recruiting trail

Phillips would definitely benefit by coming back, and putting up another stellar year. But if this defense can build off of their performance at Duke and play at this high level the rest of the season, it will be a difficult decision for him to return with a potential second round grade. Harvey looks like he is going to be another good one, and I am intrigued by Chantz Williams potential. It appears that the young players are being developed for the future, so if Phillips leaves, the Canes defense will still be good.
 
Phillips not going first round. Not because he doesn’t have the talent to, but because he has one year of film after a serious injury. Why do we keep trying to put so many of our guys in first round based off one good season? Do we not understand that NFL teams “normally” don’t go off “potential” for first rounders.

I dont Trust Walter football, they had kaaya #1. Philips and Rousseau are EASILY the most talented dlineman in the draft. A team would be foolish to not take Philips with how well he’s done this year. And his injury concerns are a thing in the past now

Jaelan Phillips is insanely more gifted than those guys you named especially athletically. Not a good comparison

I wasn’t comparing their talent. I’m comparing the fact that every year we hype ourselves into thinking a Miami player will go in the first round.
 
I wasn’t a big Phillips in the first guy, but he looks different than other guys when he truly shows up to play. Probably will test top few percent at the combine as well. Big props to him for elevating his play yet again

Phillips has first round talent but I don’t think some year of tape in our conference plus potential is going to get him there.
 
If we're ok with Rousseau going in the first round after maybe a full years worth of good tape, I'm not sure why we can't accept Phillips going in the first round with only a year of tape. I'm no pro evaluator but my man is obviously starting to dominate. lol at Dook for not watching film and realizing not to run a reverse in his direction.
