3 Concerns

My #1 concern is why don't we have a separate thread pinned to the top of the main forum titled: "What a Lovely Day"

- UF, FSU, and Clemson are garbage
- UM is getting love from the media and we're the ACC's golden child. I never thought in a million years that the ACC would be on our side.
- ACC refs going to give us the "Jordan Rules." They know that if they ***** UM, it pretty much guarantees that no ACC team makes the playoffs, and with the ACC on the brink of folding, it would be a death sentence for the conference. Miami has a chance to run the table and make it to the playoffs as a top 4 seed, when we are good we get more views than almost any team in the country. Things like the GT game where the RB's knee was clearly down before the fumble are going to start going in our favor.

Me posting “ agree to disagree “ was me pretty much saying the same thing. Just less dramatic.
Hang on I’m waiting for my buddy that used to back me up in high school 25 years ago to let me know what he thinks. He’s a manager at Kinkos now

I didn’t even say who was at fault just questioning why people are saying he’s covering for players

I am all for Guidry covering for players but didn't he say that it was a busted blitz by the LB who blitzed the wrong gap and was supposed to blitz outside and hold the edge?

Not disagreeing that it was a funky formation or that Gudiry has his players backs but idk how he is protecting the players when he is seemingly saying it was a different player's fault. You can see right before the snap Wes and Jaden are basically stacked. Wes turns to say something to Jaden and the ball is snapped. Def a busted play.

Edit: Found the two quotes in the D$ article:

On PFF’s poor grades for the defensive backs: They have no idea what we're doing on defense. None. They might have given Jaden a minus on that long run, when he was covering a guy, man to man. We should have blitzed off the outside. They don't know what the scheme is. They're just trying to guess if they played it right.

On the 71-yard TD: They didn't really earn it. We gave it to them because we didn't run a defense right. We were supposed to be blitzing off the edge of that tight end, and we didn't get it done. We didn't have the edge to the defense.

On Jaden Harris: Even on that long run, it wasn't really his fault. It was a busted blitz by the linebacker, and he couldn't make him right. He was supposed to cover the tight end, so everybody thinks it was his fault, but it really wasn't. It was a structure of a blitz pattern that didn't get done, so he played great.
I didn't read any of the quotes and he's right basically. It was called differently but it doesn't change what Jaden did wrong. His gap integrity was off especially when what youre talking about is essentially all about a pre snap read. The whole alignment was off BECAUSE we adjusted to what they did. However when the linebacker moves off as a safety you still have the edge. That doesn't change unless it's communicated pre snap. So you're right. He should've then said this wasn't JUST ON JADEN. For me knowing lil more about the room, I think we're just taking into account the mental side of it and knowing some people we simply need to ensure they stay out of their own heads. Just my opinion there though

I agree with this. It was a bad play by Jaden Harris. But what made it a 70 yard TD (instead of say a 20 yard run or something) imo was the mess up of the play itself. I mean you could say also Jaden Harris playing that poorly also is what made it a 70 yard TD instead of a 20+ yard run too because maybe if he kept his contain some help would have been able to catch the RB... But either way it was ****ed and going for a big gain no matter what.

Right when I saw the replay of the run, I knew there was zero shot we were intending to run an inside lb blitz AND a DE/DT twist. And then it was met with the perfect play by UF cause they pinned that DT on an easy down block, the LB and EDGE took themselves out of the play, and they had 2 (may have even been 3 don't remember) free OLineman there to block a LB and S... 2 Free OLineman + RB in open field vs a LB and S... You take that as an offense all day...
