I had this same take a few weeks ago on 247, when we were debating on not taking Redding. We will take hella OL, but won’t do the same for positions like DT or DB where you need bodies. If the kids aren’t good enough, they will portal out.
You act like Redding is signing a preferred walk-on .... that guy is going to get a lot of NIL $

This guy has the making of good one if coached right. I really like the way he chases down the line of scrimmage for a tackle. Shows great burst. Imagine when he gets in a D1 strength program. WE NEED TAKE TO CHANCES ON PHYSICAL FREAKS. (Pause)

Miami Director of Player Personnel Devontay Love-Taylor offered Sainteus last week after reviewing his spring game film. Their phone conversation was brief, but Sainteus recalled that the Hurricanes wanted to get him on campus for a gameday visit for their season opener against Notre Dame.

“I like the atmosphere. I like the vibe,” Sainteus, who moved to the United States from Haiti as a high school freshman, told CaneSport. “I do actually like the vibe, the way they’re moving, the fans – the fans are being crazy right now.”

Sainteus committed to FAU on June 28 following his official visit to Boca Raton. He’s locked in with the Owls for now, but with all of these Power Four schools now pursuing him, he’s open to what they have to say.

“It’s been a lot. It’s been amazing. Everything was so fast because I was just at school walking, [and now] ‘Boom!’ People were calling me with offers. So yeah, it was amazing.”

His frame super impressive. They’re saying he’s actually 6’5 270. He camped in front of the Wisconsin staff. Idk how Wisconsin even let this kid leave the state w/o a commitment.

His Coach in Naples is a former UW safety so rest assured Wisconsin is lurking in the background of this recruitment.

Go Canes

throw numbers at this position, not too comfortable with this staff evaluations. Last year they let Roberts, Hunt, leave for SMU, where they balled, while our portal additions, didn't exactly light it up.
Roberts left almost immediately when Manny got canned so thats tough to blame Mario for, but in retrospect losing Hunt definitely stung.

Wow that's crazy. What kind of bag is he getting to miss one of the best games he would ever attend in his life. Man that Mac&Cheese better be worth it.
this kid justs tarted playing football like 2 years ago i doubt he knows what or who notre dame is and how big of a game it is. whomever is his guardian or wherever he resides wants to go to that uf bs lol

Side note but I swear I learn about a new recruiting director/personnel/assistant/intern/secretary/lab-tech every other week. Most aren't even on the staff directory. Mario has that department STAFFED UP!
