2002 team had leadership and discipline problems. Yes, they lost Ed Reed and few others but the roster was still loaded. Wasn’t this the team with 6 first round picks? Coker, to his credit, laid off the 2001 team with the roster on a mission after being snubbed 2000. He should have recognized the issues in 2002, but that’s not his way. Poor performances against FSU, West Virginia, and Rutgers were the direct result of lack of player accountability than anything else.

It was an obviously extremely talented team considering they replaced 12 starters from 2001...!

But they lost a lot of leadership from that 01 team. Guys who held people accountable like Portis, Gonzalez, Reed.
