If Cuvet goes in the 11th rd for example, it's still sweating time because the team that drafted him may have preserved cash from earlier picks and they go lock him down.

Teams can always surprise, but yes. As always, you feel good after Day 2, but don’t fully breathe until the 12th Round.

Round 11 is when teams take fliers on HS players they weren’t confident enough to sign when some of their pool money was at risk. If you get to the 12th Round, you should be okay. To answer your question to Pitcher in the Rye, they can offer any money they save from their pool plus the “free” amount to players after Round 10.

1-10 Count against the pool. If they don't sign one of those guys, his slot value gets subtracted from the total. They could still swoop in if they loved a player and wanted to spend the dough.

What are the two deadlines this year?

Portal paperwork is due July 13th and August 15th is the MLB deadline. It was Aug 1 last year with a later draft.
