Not apples to apples and I don’t think he goes in the first five but there are teams who understand he hasn’t developed much as a pitcher and know they can do better than JD.

I was a little disappointed that he didn’t take more of a step forward this year. If you take his 2022 numbers and project them out his 2023 at bat total you get roughly his 2023 results. After preseason, and especially after the first couple weeks, I thought he was poised to take a leap forward.

I have been on that train for months. Could be an absolute gem. And maybe it never materializes. But if he can get a few minor adjustments and work with a sport psych his upside is huge.

McFarlane is really starting to figure it out all the sudden. Phillies def like the progression. Just want him to cut down on the walks a bit more.

Slade and Chris continue to move up. Struggling a touch at their levels but hopefully they figure it out.

Any shot Levenson and/or Pitelli return or if they get drafted anywhere they prob go?? Gna be a much different looking team next year if they go too

MLB.com says he impressed on Day 1 of the combine - he gone.
 
I’ve been trying to find updates on kids out at that event. I really pushed for Tucker Holland to look at a Miami when he decommitted from Maryland. Every school in the SEC and ACc reached out but 1. Wanna guess who?

If somehow the planets aligned and we got Levenson, Rosario and Cuvet to campus, with what we returns m, what we bring in, and maybe 1-2 key portal adds. Expectations for next year are still Supers.

It’s Jd’s team so flip the post season switch with Rosario in February and get everyone better.

Hard to see a scenario where it would make any sense for Rosario to come back with no leverage next year. He’d have to be amazing next year. I’d be surprised to see Levenson back, but I believe JUCO players got the COVID year in ’21 too, which would at least functionally make him a redshirt Sophomore.

Yeah I was trying to be a beacon of hope. And I have been leading the charge that he is going to be a steal if taken by the right org. But maybe Laz could unlock his potential (sorry I had to)

But now the Ligon news and this just makes me fear Cyr or Ziehl might be next. I wonder if any high level recruits get swayed to go the Juco route

One of the first things taught in Leadership Training is "find some early wins". The clock started 3 days ago for JD, and we've got an unknown at PC and our Sat. starter just entered the portal.

I sure hope JD has a little greater sense of urgency the next couple of weeks, and we start to see some of this $$ infusion that was supposedly attached to him being hired.
