**** this is a surprise. Hope it doesn’t come at the expense of Neiman Lawrence because they aren’t in the same realm of talent, imo.
That said, I trust Dawson’s evals and this kid has played a lot of football as an underclassmen. Nickel took a big jump from sophomore to junior year. But I’m just imaging what Neiman Lawrence’s statline would be if he had Brysen Wright at WR.

When you’re right, you’re rightNeiman had nick lennear and Cj Russell lol. His wr core easily was better than mandarins
I don’t even want to know what your search criteria was to find this!!!! lol
Stressing about a 2028 QB when by that time it could be Izzy's job already would be silly.
Hopefully this means we’ll get his brother Rex as well.
I think there’s 2 flaws with this sort of response albeit I don’t entirely disagree with what you’re suggesting.Stresg

I believe we should take two QBs the next two classes . We’ll have some QBs transferring. Next year imoThat’s correct. My point remains nothing says a school can’t take two top quarterbacks, and I don’t even know where this guy Annis ranks in this recruiting class, but people are acting like this guy committed so we can’t get another quarterback.
It’s just stupidity.
Look what Alabama is doing. They’ve got the number one quarterback and like the number 15 quarterback, and there is not that much difference in that list between say number 3 or 4 and number 15. So they’re taking two top quarterbacks, and they already have a quarterback room with quarterbacks in it already.
But people here act like pussies like we’ve gotta accommodate every single recruit and not recruit multiples at a position. This is what the big boys do. Our fans need to fūcking act like it, like we belong. Because we do.
Annis is known for his arm strength, so I would love to see him again, especially in a game where he has more time. There were a couple of occasions where Annis really drove the ball, but again, most of his work came short. Right now, Annis isn’t very highly touted by the recruiting rankings, checking in as the No. 42 quarterback and No. 442 overall prospect nationally. Again, this evaluation left me wanting to see more. With that said, Annis has a good frame at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, has a high football IQ, a live arm and can command an offense. He’s a safe take behind Top 100 2027 quarterback commit Israel Abrams, who is highly touted and has an extremely high ceiling.
Gotta win this battle against A&M, Michigan, ND and Texas.Hope he ain't the only QB we're taking next year...
