2027 WR Ah’Mari Stevens commits to Miami

On a related note, Tucker was retweeting all of his Rivals highlights clips.

He’s not super fluid or shifty, but he’s a guy who can stretch the field vertically and create once he has the ball in his hands. Stevens looked explosive going through individual drills and was natural catching the ball. Right now, he’s a speed demon who can be a dangerous piece in Miami’s offense.

@DMoney camp breakdown

WR Ah'Mari Stevens (Chaminade) ran a 4.43 laser-timed forty and solidified his reputation as a field-stretcher. He has a thin frame (think Mike Harley), but with longer arms and plus hand-size. Stevens had some concentration drops in drills, but he generally caught the ball with his hands. Like the other Broward four stars, Stevens did not take many one-on-one reps.

Plans on visiting lots of spring practices, wants to see how they plan on using the incoming freshmen

Appears the consensus is he won’t end up in this class. He is taking an OV to LSU this weekend. Speed demon, but we are fine with or without him and can definitely upgrade. I’d love for us to snag McFarland to replace him but I realize that’s a battle.

“I agree with Zach's assessment that Stevens is unlikely to end up at Miami. I haven't put him in either of my two Mock Classes this cycle.”

Head coach Lane Kiffin and wide receivers coach George McDonald are spearheading the Tigers' pursuit of the longtime Miami pledge. LSU's history of churning out some of the best receivers in the sport is appealing to Stevens.

"They are one of the best Wide-Receiver-U's. They always produce some of the best receivers," Stevens said. "For example, Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson -- the list keeps going on. They're definitely in the top category and they're in the SEC. Being able to play in the SEC conference, that's just big, really."

Stevens begins an official visit to LSU on Wednesday with the trip lasting into Friday. He wants to get an idea for how quickly he could see the field in Baton Rouge.

"I'm just looking for if I'm the number one prospect, [to] feel like a guy that came come in there and play first year and be one of them guys they depend on -- like a Malachi Toney situation," he said. "At Miami or LSU, that's what I'm looking for."
