Real talent infusion rankings are high school + portal, with extra weight to the portal.

Miami was #3 this last cycle in average player score in the transfer portal. That's what I'm looking at going forward, average high school recruit ranking + average transfer portal player ranking, not volume.

I did some rough class calculator math. If we were to flip DJ Jacobs, (and assuming all of our recruits stay where they are, which they won't; some'll move up, some down, etc.) that would put us at a number roughly equivalent with what 7-9 were for recruits only the last two years.

Will Mencl: ran 118 times for 741 yards (6.3 YPC) and 17 TD, Peyton Houston had1622 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns the past two seasons, and Peter Bourque carried the pigskin 80 times for 688 rushing yards w/ 15 TDs last year: somehow these are all pocket-passers.


Kamden Lopati, ESPN’s number 1 pocket-passer, had more rushing yards on less attempts (730; 90) last season than Izzy and Kharim Hughley combined (224/82 + 394/61= 618 yards:143carries); but the latter two are dual-threat quarterbacks…..I think the binary categorization is antiquated, but if you can’t even get your own categorizing right, how is your actual ranking valid?

Chicago-area QB Israel Abrams gives Miami a dual threat reminiscent of SMU's Kevin Jennings: good height and frame, a strong, tight ball, above-average arm talent and the mobility to extend plays, all while showing natural competitiveness and coachability.

Izzy is four inches taller than Jennings, and Jennings himself went from 354 rushing yards, on 101 carries, to 54 rushing yards, on 70 carries, from his first to his second-year as a starting quarterback.

That's because we have far less commits in 2028. Once you have more kids in the class, individual players are worth less overall. I'd think adding another 5-star would give us 10 more points, though, on the composite.
 
Was just looking to see if 247 had rated Sears yet and its crazy that we are only a couple of days away from August but all but 1 of the composite top 100 is committed.

In the 247 class calculator, I put Olubobola who’s ranked 16th and he gave us 29 points.
