2027 Men's Basketball Recruiting

Justin Wise taking an unofficial visit to Texas as well as UCLA. Haven’t seen anything mentioned with him and miami in a minute, seems like he isn’t a priority.

USA Basketball today announced 18 finalists for the 2026 USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team. Finalists were selected from among 36 athletes following three days of training camp at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Training camp will continue for the next several days and the 12-member team will be announced before the team departs for the 2026 FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup, scheduled for June 27-July 5 in Istanbul.

Finalists were selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee.

The finalists for the 2026 USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team are Beckham Black, Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje, NaVorro Bowman Jr., Logan Chwastyk, Mason Collins, JJ Crawford, Erick Dampier Jr., Cayden Daughtry, Colton Hiller, Bentley Lusakueno, Draydne McDaniel, Jordan Mize, Asa Montgomery, Jordan Page, CJ Rosser, AJ Williams, Evan Willis and Xavier Young.

Eight of the finalists have previous USA national team experience, with Black, Collins, Dampier Jr., Hiller, Lusakueno, Page, Rosser and Williams having won gold medals at the 2025 FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup. Daughtry was previously a finalist for the 2025 USA U16 National Team.

Training camp is led by 2026 USA Men’s U17 National Team head coach Scott Fitch(Fairport HS, NY) and assistant coaches Frank Bennett (Chaminade College Prep, MO) and Nick LoGalbo (Lane Technical College Prep, IL).

The USA have won the gold medal at each iteration of the FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup, dating back to 2010. In addition to seven consecutive gold medals, the U.S. have not dropped a game in tournament history (51-0 all-time record)

The article wasn't exactly brimming with any confident quotes about Miami. In fact, if I were to guess based only on what was written it looks like we're behind Iowa and Michigan. Obviously take that fwiw as that would be a surprise.

I was told, if Jai wants Jamison he will be a Cane. Courtney Brooks and Jamison family is really really close. Thats who got him on JL3. Not sure if Jai or other staff members really want him. Sorry for late reply I had to gain all the info before I got back to you.
