I feel old. Still remember his dad balling in the 90's.
I honestly thought the same thing.

Still not hearing his name much but ****, kid can play.
Eric Musselman got three 5 stars, who are now poised to start together on his most talented college team ever, largely because he coached their fathers for a couple of years in the NBA at the turn of the century.
I imagine when/if Billy Donovan returns to college, he’ll be eating off of similar longevity benefits.
Maaaaan, I figured that this is my little cousin before I scrolled down and saw your post!!! With me knowing his granddad's last name and that his pops grew up with my aunt's last name, wasn't no way in **** it's some other dude named Clarence Westbrook, Sr. from Broward passing out hoops talent through his genes lol.Super underrated. He is a p5 player without a doubt. Both him and Cayden play for the Florida Rebels.
Jai, understandably so, wants to limit any defensive liabilities and prefers plus size across the lineup. So i can’t see him pursuing two separate smaller guards in the same class unless he was extremely high on both.
We have offered another small-ish guard….he’s 6’1 155 and that’s Tyrone Jamison. He is the PG for JL3 elite and he is a top 50 player.
However, Clarence should still have way more buzz.
His dad changed his last name….his father is Clarence Gilbert who played at Missouri under Quincy Snyder when they knocked off our James Jones/John Salmons team in the first round of the tournament. They lost in the Elite Eight.
Dennis Gates absolutely has to know who he is by now. Missouri has never been to the FF; only elite 8s and that was their second most recent one. Gilbert was 2x big-12 there. And, Gilbert and Gates were both top 100 players in the recruiting class of 1998.
His father is probably getting his jersey retired by Mizzou in this next dozen years or so; possibly really soon if his son ends up there.
