Coats gave up another HR tonight

24 innings, 30k , 10 walks , 4 HR with a 5.11 ERA after tonight’s outing in the Cape
 
With the draft gutting out pitching transfers this upcoming season looks to be on shaky ground now. At best your rotation is Ciscar, Evans, and Derias. That leaves no one for weekday and a worse bullpen than this year.

Wouldn’t be against this. Three guys who showed willingness to compete and know what Laz/JD want. Could be very good but, 2 more arms to support them and make them grind and want it more would be amazing. Offense imo is not an issue at all.
 
If they can harness the stuff from the kid from Nebraska he has some big time potential.

But def needs work. At this point we may need to look into one of those Tampa U kids just to bring in winners. Those kids dont have dominant stuff but they will compete and throw strikes.

You mentioned a while back a few top 250 transfers visited, are you expecting another arm to commit soon?

I have Erick Peralta, Sebastian Santos Olsen and Max Porirer, scratch max off that list now. I would add Jack Durso or Jake Lodgek as the next ones up
 
We need some more LHP but Durso is going to need a good fall or he may be on the cut line. Just my opinion.

Lodgek has looked great from what I was told. Velo is a tick down but he knows how to pitch and while he is 88-91 he holds it for 5-7 innings. If you know my history on here I love where he works out and trusts those guys that if there is anymore in the tank year to year they will get it out of you plus fine tune you as a pitcher.
 
Baseball America has Miami at 16th for next year, 5th in the ACC
