Actually kinda crazy.

Mensah was probably worth $5-6M regardless. Again I had been putting him right there with Sorsby, JKS, etc as THE TOP guys I'd want like a month ago in all of CFB.

The fact that we missed on other guys and got Mensah so late, probably cost us an additional $1-$1.5M out of this.... but holy ****


Now the ONLY criticism, and it absolutely still is a criticism from the QB recruiting strategy, is we should have taken a lower level starter who was willing to sit the bench and compete for a job next year, and serve as a worst case scenario...

I’m conflicted.

On one hand, the SCar OT canceling seemed to indicate Bell might stay. His film against Ole Miss wasn’t great. This is a massive game for his NFL stock imo, cause it’ll be against what he struggles with most: speed rushers.

But on the other, NFL scouts love his size (pause). He’s improved dramatically from his JUCO film. He had fantastic and key moments during this playoff run. I wouldn’t blame him if he changed his mind.
