Yes, but nowadays I don’t think it is possible to keep it secret with agents at work.So someone just has to be IN the portal by today right? And it may not even show up for 2 days? Is that correct?
Again, any **** we want to say about the QB spot is warranted but we're also by far the most talent team in the ACC next year no matter who is at the helm. I still think they'll figure something out and still feel good about Damon Wilson. People speak in these absolutes like they know what we look like next year. I promise you no one thought we were winning a Natty this year.We also have no choice but to be aggressive in the portal at QB because we don't pay top dollar for talented HS QBs. They landed one. We didn't.
i am so disappointed that you believe that all germans are the same despite that picture only showing a small percentage
now go into your pickup and think about what you just said!
We’ve been there before, I don’t understand why people can’t grasp this concept. That supremely talented roster doesn’t mean jack **** if you don’t have at least a somewhat competent qb to run the offense.
Essentially what I dealt with this season as Vikings fan in the NFL.That supremely talented roster doesn’t mean jack **** if you don’t have at least a somewhat competent qb to run the offense.

Yes, & we’ve been extra aggressive trying to get one, unfortunately we locked in on the guys at the top of the portal n struck out, that should clearly tell you they aren’t satisfied with what’s currently in the room, let’s see what happensWe also have no choice but to be aggressive in the portal at QB because we don't pay top dollar for talented HS QBs. You think Indiana would let another Mendoza stud go?
I mean I get what you are saying. But we definitely don’t want waste a year with average QB play and winning 9 games.Again, any **** we want to say about the QB spot is warranted but we're also by far the most talent team in the ACC next year no matter who is at the helm. I agree. That supremely talented roster doesn’t mean jack **** if you don’t have at least a somewhat competent qb to run the offense.
No one is speaking in absolutes — they’re just pointing out the simple reality that any talent advantage we have gets neutralized if we’re starting an average or below‑average QB. Anyone who watches football knows that QB is by far the most important position.Again, any **** we want to say about the QB spot is warranted but we're also by far the most talent team in the ACC next year no matter who is at the helm. I really doubt Emory is going to be the starterNo one is speaking in absolutes — they’re just pointing out the simple reality that any talent advantage we have gets neutralized if we’re starting an average or below‑average QB. To put it in perspective, I’d guess we have maybe a 10% chance of winning 10 games with Emory at QB. If we had landed a true quality replacement for Beck, that number is probably closer to 75%.
You’ll see it reflected in the Vegas win‑total line. If Emory is the starter, my guess is they set the over/under at 8 regular season wins.
He's obviously never seen his highlight video. This is not an endorsement, but Judd absolutely blows Beck away from an athleticism/mobility standpoint so not sure where that take is coming from.
Recency bias. People easily forget the past. We’ve been there before, I don’t understand why people can’t grasp this concept.
Man, I cannot even properly express how strongly I agree with this. Nickel and Coleman both absokuteky have legitimate potential to be good, but Dawson is NOT a developer. It should be a no-brainer to bring in an experienced, proven guy to be strictly a QB coach. To add to this, I was listening to Todd McShay's podcast this morning. He had Todd Blackledge and Bear Fallica as guests. Blackledge talked about Cignetti's staff; their continuity and familiarity with both offense and defense and game prep is huge. It's very underrated as a factor in their favor. The offensive and defensive coordinators have been together for years....
Blackledge also talked about how Cignetti brought in a dedicated QB coach this season - Chandler Whitmer from the NFL (Chargers) who works with Mendoza every day. He talked about how invaluable this has been in Mendoza's development......
I have said it previously on other threads - Miami needs to seriously think about doing this, too. Dawson is not a developer; he's an OC/playcaller. It's why Cam and Beck have worked out so well. They came in after years of "developing' elsewhere. If Coleman is who they believe he can be, they need to make the investment in position. (I'm sure it's not about $$)
Winning 4 games back to back in the CFP era is different. See mateer and OK.You can win without a "stud" QB. No offense to my man, but we won 10 games with Malik Rosier in 2017.
Morton is leaps and bounds better than Emory, who ECU fans are excited about. If Hammond was their starter all season no chance they make the playoff.TTU would like to talk
