Looking forward to Friday, where people explain they have two days to enter a name. Then early next week where people explain how grad transfer work. Then shortly after, people explain lucas and how someone can unenroll.

This board is undefeated
Nailed it.

It has to be today. I’ll stick around until tomorrow morning latest, but if it doesn’t break by then, I just don’t see things falling our way this year.

I’ll reorient all of my football attention to Monday and then watch highlights from the season on repeat.

Jk, I’ll be here.

Bailey is NOT a "okay with" QB, he is a star type of QB. He is not a drop off from the rest of the top guys in the portal: Sorsby, Leavitt, Hoover, etc.
This reeks of cope. If Bailey wasn't from here then he wouldn't even be on our radar.

He would be solid for us, but a star? Based on what exactly? Come on, that's a bit silly. He wasn't even close to being one of our top options.

While funny and certainly not ideal, there is no reason it couldn't play out like this. Keep knocking on doors if you have to and get a guy here whenever. Missing 15 practices in march isnt going to make or break next year. Have all off sesson, plus fall, plus open with famu and c Michigan, plus dont really play anyone until nd in November. You can get up to speed quick with a veteran qb but also have weeks into the season where you can still be working on stuff cause again the schedule is open ***

We're coming up on a month since this thread was created. We've not landed any of our targets, but not for lack of throwing money at them (i.e. - $6.5M offer to Simpson). There was always coming a point with the Portal where we wouldn't get one of the big fish, and would have to rely on what's coming in from HS along with who's already inside the program.

I think our 2 options are:

1) Ride with Coleman/Nickel/Judd/Emory, see if one of them can win the job and be a dude. Just because they've not done it here *yet* doesn't mean they won't keep developing and become capable. Developing QBs is part of the staff's job, and we recruited all of those guys for a reason. If another guy comes in the portal, like Longstreet, toss them into the fray and let them compete too. Don't promise the spot to any of them.

2) Wait until after Spring and see if a QB from elsewhere wants to unenroll from where they are and suddenly enroll at UM.

Neither of those options are as great as Option A1 (getting a massive Cam/Beck style fish as a sure fire QB) - for sure. But those seem like the options in front of us right now.
