Everyone keeps expecting another Ward to walk through the door. It ain't happening. There is no perfect prospect out there. That much can be said based on how many posters have VASTLY different opinions of various QBs.Look, man, I wouldn't mind Bailey, but all you guys quoting me clearly are only looking at his season totals.
In his second year as a starter, he didn't even crack 200 yards against FSU, Miami, or Notre Dame, and he had exactly 200 or 201 against Virginia, Wake Forest, and UNC. Had less than 60% completion in 3 games.
He would be solid here, but let's chill out a bit and be realistic.
Also, guys are allowed to improve with experience, better supporting cast, and coaching. Ward had his flaws coming in. Beck had his flaws coming in. Key is to get them in the spring so they can develop for an extra semester before the season.
