Not exactly the answer you give if he has signed with NC State already. If he hasn't then CJ or at least someone in his family has some smarts. If we get Bailey still, I wouldn’t even hate how this played out, even if it ends up costing us say $3M instead of $2M we could have gotten him for earlier…

Because ultimately I’d much rather have swing higher and have him as the fall back option. That’s always how I felt, that he’d be a fine add, but that ideally we swing higher.

I’d just have like to be far more aggressive quickly with the portal. That’s where they failed and hey maybe it’s because this was their first time in the cfp in this situation all with new portal scheduling timeline…

House money at this point for at least this year. We will get an $80-$85m payout and an extra $30m or so from the CFP, expenses that we pocket and extra TV rev. Also feeds into extra revenue next year with season tickets and the like. An extra $5m this year by overpaying will not change anything economically.
