Well, if you're trying to compete for a national championship, margins matter. Allocating an extra $1M or $2M to the QB could be the difference in landing Damon Wilson or Jordan Seaton. So I care. Obviously QB is the most important position, so do whatever it takes.

Look man, we’ve pocketed $20M. If we can’t slide an extra $2M to a QB while getting them what’s the **** point in any of this operation.

I understand that concept - and it appears they did for Simpson bc of the draft comp/angle.

But as a coach, you have to take your total allotment and impact to optics/impacts that might have to others in the locker into account. There's always a balance and a reasonable range for each player or position.

God forbid these post. Steve 44 , 5 days before National Championship we have the best team in Florida with a great QB and playing for it all. I guess you can look at all the negatives if you like. But I see a National Championship Trophy in our Cupboard coming.

Also for the Raiola crowd, I’m as high on him as anyone else…but there’s two rumors.

1. He’s willing to sit for a year and learn
2. He’s not going to be ready by September.

This wouldn’t be bad. A proven starter. And he doesn’t need to do anything spectacular for us to make another run.
