JFC. Speed and execution are two completely different things. Question the process all you want but this misnomer that the staff isn’t moving quickly enough in the portal needs to be taken out to pasture and shot in the head
No. I just want them to get aligned and sign the top guy we are after within a day or two. This now becomes a distraction going into the game. If it is not a distraction, that means we are waiting while opps are getting better which is a disadvantage.

My only thing would be, if the rumors were true that Sorsby was the top option and an offer had been made but just could not get him to entertain a visit... Mario was acting quickly. If he would have chose us, we would have talked about how fast Mario landed his QB vs prior years.
You can't argue with the results and success of the last two cycles speed headed by Ward and Beck. However, you can argue with putting all our eggs in one basket each year at QB and failing to have a backup plan QB. Have to give Mario credit for closing on both but theirs a scenario where we whiff and are god awful lol.
If anything, they aren't putting all of their eggs in a single basket. I really don't see a name out there that's worth doing that for this year.
I can agree with this. However, there are definitely agents out there making these types of calls to field offers. Surely, the staff has 3-5 guys identified that aren't yet in the portal on top of 1-2 that may be in already.

This is an issue. No question. But the bigger issue IMO is the fact that we can’t get our top qb target on campus 2 years in a row. It seems in an organization that is top class that is our next evolution. If you really want a guy you have to get him to visit at minimum but really you should get the 1st visit if you are that all in.
I’m sure Mario is capable of multitasking but his first priority will be the CFP Thursday night. He’s shown to be pretty good with the transfer portal and I’d expect he’s right in the middle of it.
It's not likely they didn't think to invite our top target. Guys in the portal do have free will after all.
Absolutely. Not saying they haven’t tried. But there’s so much due diligence that goes into this. The fact that 2 years in a row we couldn’t get our top qb target on campus is wild given the success we have put on tape plus the world class money we are throwing around.
It's only a distraction to the fans. Actually signing big names now might be a distraction to players on the roster currently. Better to keep things stealth.
