We start the year with Florida A&M and central Michigan.

If Dawson can’t have nickel or Coleman ready to perform at an average P4 level with 8.5 months of preparation and two games against scrubs then that’s on him.

We will be fine regardless

No, we don’t. We are opening the season against an unknown ACC opponent. And based on the trajectory of this program, it’s probably going to be against a name-brand program. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s FSU or VT.

Well regardless. 8 months to get a guy ready. Any team other than Notre dame we can have a game plan that puts our QB in a box with bubble wrap.

We are going to see. Let’s see who turns out better in the NFL. Add his name to Lamar Jackson, Bridgewater and Geno Smith. This staff did not evaluate Bailey and then choose Judd Anderson over him, they just chose Judd Anderson.

Bailey is not “extremely raw”, I reject that assertion. Bailey is a “finished product” on the college level of football. Bailey looks different against top competition because his team is littered with 2 and 3 star recruits and has a low blue chip %. This is all about who receives the benefit of doubt. Bailey without a shadow of doubt has earned prioritization and a shot at being considered a top tier college QB. Lesser Timmy’s receive that shot and jolt of confidence every single day and it ain’t considered to be an “emotional decision”.

Yeah they may like him but the second half of Iowa State shows what they think of his ability.

When the dust settles, I want to know how many l QBs said no to us this week. Reading tea leaves sounds like (Young PItt Qb and Mateer?).

Then I want to know how many guys would sign this week but staff said no, waiting for a white whale

It’s a fair point that Dawson screwed up picking Judd over Bailey. But it’s also safe to say we would not be in the championship game this year with Bailey at the helm. Next year, maybe. But not this year. And if Bailey was in the roster at the end of last year when Beck was brought in, he would have portaled out. All things happen for a reason. Go get Bailey today and all is forgiven on that front.
