Brutal.
The opposite is true. The same people called Mendoza “Cuban Emory.”
D, I know we're still going all-in for Simpson. But are we comfortable riding with Emory if that doesn't transpire? Or are the coaches going to have other backup plans ready?

If Simpson is not an option I would honestly take Lagway if we can't pull a rabbit out of a hat. He at least has high end physical traits and can make all the throws. He was also with Billy Napier who is just a terrible OC and got fired for a reason. If we give him a good OL, running game and weapons I think we could make it work. I honestly would trust him way more than Emory.

I hear you on that, but what’s the explanation then for Bailey still being a mid ACC program? Did teams like Miami, LSU, Tennessee, etc. inquire and he decided not to hop in or was there no interest from higher level programs? In your example, IU plucked Mendoza.

I wish Nickel did enough to convince the coaches but it seems like he is still not ready. He wanted to be a Hurricane from the start and never wavered. It would be great not to go through this circus for several years

#1 overall draft pick, playing for a natty, millions of dollars? nope! I prefer to play at a program in decline for that quitter who's known to walk out on his players whenever it benefits him.

Frick that kid and his brother

Nickel is a less impressive Harrison Bailey. Nickel is not the guy

Bring in Longstreet and let him compete. If it’s true nickel ain’t close to Emory then who cares about his feelings

Read LSU still trying to sign Longstreet, even after signing the Leavitt and the Elon kid.

He would be crazy to backup instead of a cleat path to start here.

I mean that's all you need to know about the kid. We dodged a bullet plain and simple. Gimme Emory let's ride
