I’m so happy for these guys I could cry. This group is different than any others group. Bain, CiCi, and Mesidor were the foundation that the return of The U was built on. The residual return on those guys will impact this team in a positive way for years to come.

I've known a few guys who have been in draft rooms and it's actually pretty rare for the GM and coach to not be on the same page. It's happened a few times with the Dolphins, unsurprsingly.

Harbaugh is such a dork, but that was cool of the GM and Harbaugh. Yeah, I know this occurs between most GM's/Coaches and their 1st round draft pick, so a phone call is nothing new. You can tell Harbaugh is genuinely happy with getting Mesi.

Admittedly, I haven’t followed this draft too closely, but looking at what’s left on the board heading into Rounds 2 & 3 — this seems to be the deep area of the draft. The first round felt top-heavy with high-risk/upside prospects, but the value in the middle rounds looks exceptional. Guys like Scott, Stowers, Hill Jr., Rodriguez, Haulcy, Pregnon, R Mason, Ponds, Fields, Trotter, Everette, Bell, Lee, Sarratt. Plenty of legitimate starters and potential impact players available. Could be a great draft day for teams like Texans and Fins that have amassed a lot of 2nd and 3rd round picks — just gotta hope good players fall to them and make the right picks.

Would love to see Keionte Scott on the Texans.

McVay absolutely did not want to draft Simpson from the looks of it, but apparently was overruled by the GM.

LB, DB, TE, and iOL is DEEEP right now.

OT is dead until late 2nd/3rd with Bell/Burke/Tiernana/Bowry

WR has good players but imo more like 3rd rounders mostly.

EDGE is going to be very nice for the 2nd round but quickly die heading into 3rd. DT is pretty good for the next 2-3 rounds....
