Yes, understood but the ACC is a talent rich baseball conference and its not a second tier baseball conference. It has chosen to be one now. I don't care one way or another but the ACC should be better Than 1 super region and 1 in Omaha. Like I said, its time for all these ACC schools to invest in their sports or the conference will cease to exist.

The new administration has to decide what they want our baseball program to become? A middle of the pack ACC team that limps into a road Regional and gets kicked around like a tin can. Just having enough talent to win a bunch of games until they run into a top level team and get out coached in every aspect of the game.
Look what USC with a decent coach, he revived their program.
With our location and resources there is no reason Miami can't be a top tier program.
Since no coaching changes were made this last week, I see this program repeating it's past underachieving performance again next year.

Yes, but what I am saying is we can rant and rave that this shouldn't be the way it is, but I am saying it is too late for all of that. The ACC was passed by the SEC ages ago. It's not even a conversation any longer. It's a second tier conference and is so far behind it wouldn't catch up under most plausible scenarios.

If teams decided to triple their spending on the sport they could make a dent for sure, but the mystique and scouting of the SEC has moved it into god tier for the sport. For that reason, I push back that the ACC us a second tier baseball conference because the SEC has its own tier.

11 different SEC teams have made the College World Series since 2024. That's incredible. 11 teams of a 14 team conference have each made the College World Series over just three seasons.

5 difference ACC teams have made the CWS, which is strong, honestly, but just not the same world.

I agree w everything except that it's too late (for Miami anyway). Good coaching, $$, and development can pay dividends quickly AND be sustained w our pedigree.

Any organization can be turned around w a vision and commitment, the real question is whether our admin is up to it. I am hoping they are.

nothing is ever too late man. Miami has access and money for all the talent they need. The HC is the biggest problem but this pitching roster is beyond scrub level. I would hit these guys in a mens league and Im 47. I get it that the SEC has parlayed their money into baseball but ****, I never want to hear any ACC school cry poor. Some of the Richest entities around.

For Miami, specifically, I agree. For the ACC as a whole, there's no future I envision where they catch back up to the SEC as a whole.

But hey, I doubted Miami football getting to a place where they can beat any SEC team and here we are, so maybe they pull it off.
