2026 DL: This is the way

Moten and Scott would be a scary combination, with Wilson, Lightfoot, Lowe, and Blount on the edges.

Ya’ll seen Moten toss Coogan (whos a draft prospect) hop over his body, and one arm a 220lb RB …..right on that play alone i thought we lost Moten to the draft 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣
I looked at my wife and said bro is doing too much. Haha it’s an idiotic thought but we really need him next year.

Mans out here doing Aaron Donald impersonations in the biggest game of the year.

Is McConathy expected to hit the portal? I remember him getting some snaps his true freshman year. I wonder how he’s developing

He better not hit the portal. I’m pretty sure he was held back by an injury this season.

Miami still hasn’t ever won a national championship without having at least one token white dude on defense. McConathy needs to be that guy.

I know I've had prior disagreements about adding a bigtime DE. I maintain it's what keeps us lethal.

This would match that expection:

Lightfoot/Lowe
Scott/Blount
Moten/Carter
Wilson/Scroggins

Young guys like Pickett, Charles (LOVE), Newton, etc.

But, with a 2-deep like above, opposing offenses will despise playing us.

And, that should be the simple goal. Still room left on the bandwagon and plenty of snaps to go around.
Circling back to the original post on the thread, now that he’s actually coming here, Wilson I’ve said reminds me more of a Jared Verse type than a Mesidor or Bain.

As I’ve said elsewhere, I strongly believed we needed to add a big time guy like this to keep our DL elite. There are plenty of records to show those who disagreed and even those who got upset about the preference to add these types (and not scare away younger players).

I’m happy the staff erred on the side of aggression and I hope they get Wilson to the next level of his play, because he could go from really good to scary.
