Wow! Sounds like a back that Mario would spend a lot of "alone time" watching film of.
Mario watching Mallory filmWow! Sounds like a back that Mario would spend a lot of "alone time" watching film of.
CWH ran hard today.definitely a Mario back man. Thats how he draws them up.
Pringle/ CWH will be change of pace guys...i want **** cat to stick around n wait for his shot. He has some really good feet and long speed.
Not sure we currently have a "shifty" back. Lyle and (even more so) Pringle are fast, but they are guys who hit the hole decisively and burst (pause). Fletch tries to be "shifty" at times which doesn't always benefit him.I think we get too caught up in the highlight reel, wow factor guys sometimes. Yeah, that’s cool and all but you need big, strong RBs who may not be able to take the top off the defense every play but they will move the chains and get the tough yards when we need them.
Shifty scat backs are great, but you need a bruiser back. They win the ugly, dirty games for you.
Jason Gaethers could’ve been a superstar, as well. This thread made me think of how Butch and company stocked the RB room with All Pro NFL talent. Any one of those backs we had a run on in late 90's would be Super Stars behind this OL. Edgerrin James, Najeh "2" Davenport, James Jackson, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee & Frank Gore all in succession. Shout out to Quatrinie Hill. He could have been a beast too.

We get caught up in finding bruisers who can also take the top off cause we had 3 on the squad at one time in the early 2000s and plenty have come through or left since thenI think we get too caught up in the highlight reel, wow factor guys sometimes. That’s nirvana to get thunder and lightning in one package, and Frank Gore and McGahee types ain’t walking through that door every year.We get caught up in finding bruisers who can also take the top off cause we had 3 on the squad at one time in the early 2000s and plenty have come through or left since then
We got the lighting last class with Pringle .That’s nirvana to get thunder and lightning in one package, and Frank Gore and McGahee types ain’t walking through that door every year.
Most times, you get two guys with the different skill sets, and bruisers don’t come around often in S. Florida.
Why would he though in this era ? Unless he supposed to be top 3 round pick . Martinez would have made more money coming back than he’s does on the practice squadIf Fletcher goes pro Mallory will fill his spot.
