Cruz played with Speedy at Hofstra last season, and portaled to Texas Tech this season. He is another under the radar player Rick worked with that may surprise a lot of people.

His Iona team was stacked with talent. He had Walter Clayton and Danoris Jenkins as his starting guards...

**** i didn’t even know about Cruz. Speaks how much Rick believed in him that he transferred to St. John’s but appears wasn’t enough playing time for him, smart move to redshirt.

Pitino is just an incredible evaluator and developer. How coaches build up players get lost so often nowadays. He holds guys accountable to their responsibilities. clayton, Cam Spencer, Coward, boozer and Edey is a good core for Memphis to work with moving forward; all winning players.

Hearing similar things... For greedy purposes, I prefer they don't land him, as we square off against ZONA this season.

Milan is an elite shooter. He needs to work on creating his own shots and improving his defense. Athleticism may haunt him.

Rick can absolutely help him, but so can others. I'm sure that is what his agents are saying.

Yeah, he had a bunch of players from that Iona team get run on other D1 squads.

Cruz had a lot of supporters in the Johnnie fan base. Was the best athlete on the floor, just oozing with potential.

Rick and Speedy really helped him develop. I am excited to potentially see him play against us at the Players tourney.
