2026-27 CANES Men's Basketball Schedule

I don't put a lot of thought in these but it is interesting that Sheldon Henderson is not considered a 1st round pick.

I'm good with that. He'll either play his way up there and we'll have a great season as a result, or he becomes more underrated and thinks about staying another year to improve his status.

I don't know about being 7 feet tall but his skill set is impressive. Coach Lucas had us waiting but we have to admit, what we waited on was worth the wait.
He definitely makes our bench a lot better.

Not very relevant in the NIL era. We replaced everybody and won 26 games. This year's roster is much deeper and balanced.

Very true. This year's roster is much deeper and balanced. Largely because our current coaching staff does a better job of evaluating talent.
We still need to be careful of those quick roster flips, especially after what we witnessed in the last two years of the previous coaching staff.

I thought this thread was for the SCHEDULE this upcoming season. Got a lot of topics going on that should be elsewhere. I just wanna know who the Canes are playing and this thread is making that difficult. Is there any word on the rest of the non conf schedule?

Not a bad schedule as I have definitely seen worse.
I get all of the home games to a point but they definitely need a non-conference road game in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Even if the road game is against someone like FIU, FAU, USF or UCF, a team needs the actual experience of a true road game in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
However, with all of the neutral site game, I don't know if fans will get the true road game in the non-conference portion of the schedule anymore.
That is the next step in scheduling.
