2026-27 CANES Men's Basketball Schedule





At this point, Coach Lucas can schedule UCF, USF, FIU and FAU for the remainder of the non-conference schedule.
That would still be the best non-conference schedule I have ever seen Miami basketball play.

Feels like we need another 5 along with a guy who can create his own shot off the bench.
Still an ACC contender, 30 win Sweet 16 team.
Maybe even better if they can defend and rebound at a high level all season along with making ten+ 3pt FGs per game.

Agree about the backup 5 so hopefully Miller comes and soon. We have 4 good shooters on the bench and I don't see them adding another at this point. We have more shooting and depth than last season. I cannot wait for this season.

I agree as I think the shooting has improved tremendously. I hope it wasn't at the expense of the defense and rebounding.
I don't think so as defense and rebounding seems to be the core of a Jai Lucas led team.

Agree. Another big man for sure, with a shooter. Anyone know where CXoach Lucas is looking? Overseas?

Lastly, will Marcus be good to go/give us valuable minutes on both ends of the court as he always has.

It's going to be a long tough season. We need the extra bodies... we have some great opponents scheduled and we will be tested from week 1.
Hopefully we will keep improving as the weeks go along... it's going to be fun.
 


Two reasons why I am happy about this video.

1. Marcus Allen is healthy.
2. Anyone on the roster making wide open jump shots makes me happy.

I didn't realize this but if they win game 1 on the 24th, they'd have to win 3 games in 3 days to win the title. That's crazy. No off days in there except for after game 1. They could have given an off day after game 2 instead of game 1. So 2 games, off day, 2 games. But yeah can't wait for that tournament!
