Tears 2025 NFL Cuts of UM players (What a Bloodbath!)

This. Some of his decisions on punt return made me cringe.
X was awful at punt return (because he's not a punt returner). Tyrique Stevenson and JG were better returners when they could hang onto the ball, but they muffed every other punt. Ray Ray is bad at everything. It's unfathomable how bad he is. Just because X was more trusted than those 3 guys does not make him a punt returner.

Idc what yall say. If given a true opportunity I truly believe X can be a good WR in the NFL.

Slow 40 or not.. dude can still get open and find open spots with the best of em.

Who was the last decent punt returner Miami had? Jeff Thomas? Aside from that muff punt in 2019 I thought he was reliable and made **** happen.

knew martinez was gone once he had a big bowl game performance. also knew he should have stayed for another year of nil money...

Jeff Thomas, but didn't get to see enough of him. Berrios right before him. So yeah, 5+ years since a decent returner. Thomas and Berrios weren't even that good, but they looked like Devin Hester compared to what we we've had the last 5 years.

Berrios was reliable as could be with fair catches lol mix in a few nice returns. Thomas had a few nice returns in 2018. Td against Va Tech and a td called back against FIU.

Thomas was our actual last true threat at punt returner. He looked pretty good and natural when back there. He will probably be remembered as a punt returner by some only for that fumble against UF, but I'll take Jeff Thomas x 1000 any day over anything we've had recently.

Absolutely. And everyone thinks he’s the reason Miami lost that game lol. I’m not gonna get into it further but that return for a td against Va Tech in 2018 was Hesterlike. He almost pulled another one off the next return.

I don't blame Thomas as the reason we lost that game. That fumble certainly didn't help. I just remember everybody's two favorite O-lineman getting abused all game. Is one of them still on our roster? I'm still waiting for him to be drafted 1st round like some on here claimed. Can't say anything bad about him or the Zion mafia will come for me, although he was pretty much terrible his entire time here at Miami.

Zion and John Campbell gave up 45 sacks that game. Yea he wasn’t anything special here.
